Tulsi Gabbard announces she is joining the Republican Party and stuns Trump

Former Hawaii Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard announced Tuesday evening that she will join the Republican Party.

Gabbard took the stage before thousands of people in Greensboro and cemented her conversion from Democrat to Republican.

“It is because of my love for our country and specifically because of the leadership President Trump has brought to transform the Republican Party that I am proud to stand here with you today and announce that I am joining the Republican Party.”

In 2022, she announced that she would leave the Democratic party to become an independent.

When he regained control of the microphone after Gabbard’s announcement, Trump said he was stunned by the announcement, which he didn’t know was coming.

Trump introduced Gabbard at the end of his nearly two-hour speech in which he discussed Elon Musk’s rockets and suggested Kamala Harris used drugs during her 60 Minutes interview, which he claims was edited.

The former president called her a “woman that everyone loves” and who “has so much common sense.”

“Boy, you’re popular,” he told her in front of the audience while bringing her on stage.

Gabbard said the Democratic Party is now “completely unrecognizable.” She was a member for more than twenty years.

She ran for president in 2020 as a Democrat and ultimately supported Joe Biden when she dropped out.

The former congresswoman called Kamala Harris “anti-freedom” and “pro-censorship” and denounced her recent foreign policy moves.

“Without even pretending to care about peace, as President Trump said, she has shamelessly embraced the endorsement and support of warmongers like Dick Cheney and Liz Cheney,” she added.
