Tulsa County, Oklahoma District Attorney has been stabbed by his daughter in his own home.
Steve Kunzweiler, 60, father of three daughters – Jackie, Jenny and Sandra – was attacked around 3 p.m.
Police said his daughter had ‘a mental illness’ KTUL reported, but gave no details, or say which of his daughters attacked him.
Initially, she was described as ‘an adult relative’.
His oldest daughter, Sandra, is 32, married and lives in New York City and works as a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley.
He was awake and talking when taken to hospital and is expected to survive.

Kunzweiler has been a public prosecutor since 2015

Authorities were called to a ‘domestic dispute’ around 3 p.m. on Tuesday
The “relevant police authorities” are currently conducting investigations, his office said in the statement.
“The entire Kunzweiler family would appreciate your prayers and concerns during this battle,” the statement said.
“They would also appreciate it at this point if you’re concerned about their privacy.”
Kunzweiler studied first in Missouri and received his bachelor of science from the University of Missouri in 1984 and his doctorate in law from the University of Tulsa School of Law in 1988.
Kunzweiler has been married to his veterinarian wife, Christine, for 34 years.
She writes on her website: “In 1988 I married my high school sweetheart Steve, and in the summer of 1989 we moved to Tulsa.
“We are blessed with three wonderful daughters. We also consider our dogs, cats, parakeets, ponies and horses to be members of our family.”
