Tulisa breaks cover after fleeing Australia and snubbing the I’m A Celeb final and wrap party amid mental health struggle

Tulisa has blown her cover after turning down the I’m A Celebrity final and flying back to Britain.

The 36-year-old singer kept a low profile as she drove away in her car on Monday morning after her campmates had a blast at the show wrap party.

On Sunday night, millions watched as Danny Jones was crowned King Of The Jungle, with Coleen Rooney second and Revered Richard Coles third.

The top two learned of their fate while surrounded by their former campmates, who had gathered on set to cheer them all on.

All except Tulisa, who fled Australia within days of being voted out of the Jungle, having deleted all traces of her appearance on the ITV show from her Instagram.

The N-Dubz singer broke the tradition of eliminated stars staying Down Under for the finals.

She later took to her Instagram to address the speculation surrounding her sudden departure, saying that she had become “overwhelmed” by the whole thing.

And on Sunday, Tulisa finally posted about her jungle experience, sharing a slew of photos of herself on the show, along with a short caption apologizing to her campmates for skipping the finals.

She wrote: ‘Looking back on some of my favorite moments from @Imacelebrity’s jungle. It’s been a whirlwind.

‘Thank you to @itv for the experience and sending so much love to my Jungle Fam before the finals tonight. Sorry I can’t be there to celebrate with you all ‘.

Her fellow eliminated campmates were quick to show their support, with Maura Higgins commenting: ‘Miss you wanna pinch love you ‘

Dean McCullough wrote: ‘we love you you are with us in spirit my darling and can’t wait to see you when we get home xxxx’, while Oti Mabuse added a series of heart emojis. Tulisa shocked fans by not staying at the hotel £1,000 per night JW Marriott on Australia Gold Coast, where her co-evicted campmates will stay until Sunday’s final.

Those who start early as usual will be present at the final to cheer on the King or Queen of the jungle.

But according to The sunTulisa flew straight back to Britain, using a ‘private terminal to avoid being seen by paparazzi’.

Despite suggestions she had fallen out with her friends who she put in charge of her social media, insiders now claim she has left Australia due to issues with her mental health.

A source told the outlet: ‘Tulisa was quite miffed and completely baffled by the suggestion that she had had a falling out with Michelle – they are as close as ever. They flew back to Britain together and laughed about all the speculation.

“The truth is Tulisa was struggling with her mental health, that’s what she told fans.

‘She wanted to be back home, with her good friends and the comforts of home, and after meeting with ITV all parties agreed this would be best for her.

“It’s nothing more than that, despite what people say.”

In a video earlier this week, Tulisa addressed her fans for the first time, saying:

On Instagram she said: ‘I’m just making a little video to clear up a few things. To be clear, when I came out of the jungle, first of all, I felt fine and that night my friends went to bed.

“But because it’s been a while for me, I get overwhelmed quickly. “I just started feeling overwhelmed. I thought, “You know what, I really need to take some time for myself and just relax.”

“You know, it’s okay to feel a little overwhelmed. I’ve been out of the spotlight for a long time. I’m still trying to overcome those things. I still have my little demons.”

Reports surfaced that Tulisa had a break-in at the hotel after being kicked off the show along with her best friends, Michelle McKenna and her boyfriend, Daniel Johnson – something her reps have denied.

It was said that she was not happy with the way her best friends managed her Instagram while they were in the Jungle, finding their posts about her ‘inappropriate’.

A source told MailOnline: ‘They were only in Australia because of Tulisa. It felt like they were enjoying the situation and taking liberties with her kindness.

‘Michelle and Daniel were there, on a trip funded by ITV and only because of Tulisa. They were there because of her and she trusted them with her social media.

‘When she came out of the jungle and saw what had been done there, she was upset and there was a huge argument. You can’t help but think that it must have really irritated her to see her friends living like this while she was messing around in the jungle.

“They were in a five-star hotel and most of the expenses had been paid, so it all feels a bit bad for Tulisa,” she added.

“She’s so upset. She was distraught when she saw what was posted and wanted to get rid of it as quickly as possible.’

The I Need You singer has furiously deleted all traces of her time in the Jungle and has not attended her scheduled appearances with ITV.

Although show sources insist there is ‘no bad blood’ between Tulisa and the channel, neither she nor her friends have been seen since her Lorraine interview on Tuesday morning.

The Ouch singer pulled out of taking part in I’m A Celebrity… Unpacked with Joel Dommett, Kemi Rodgers and Sam Thompson the day after she was evicted, citing ‘personal reasons’.

Tulisa later denied on her Instagram stories that she had had a fight with Michelle and Dan.

However, she will still appear on I’m A Celebrity spin-off show Coming Out The mirror.

In the Coming Out show, cameras follow the celebrities from the moment they leave camp, so it’s likely that producers have plenty of footage of her departure that they can use before she decides to fly home.
