Tua Tagovailoa says Miami Dolphins ‘aren’t afraid to talk about Super Bowls’ as QB discusses team’s odds after a bold trade deadline
After a very active trading deadline, Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has said the team isn’t afraid to talk about the Super Bowl.
Miami added pro bowl pass rusher Bradley Chubb and running back Jeff Wilson Jr. before Monday’s trading deadline.
“I think during the OTAs and during the training camp we could see the potential we had as a team, offensively and defensively,” Tagovailoa said on Wednesday.

“We’re not afraid to talk about Super Bowls here. We’re not afraid to talk about going to a play-off game, having the opportunity to go to a game and then hopefully win one.
‘I would say I am fully convinced that we are capable’ [of winning a Super Bowl].’
Already on a 5-3 record, the Dolphins took two straight wins before making the trades.

“It’s always a good feeling to know that we’re in a good place now, especially at 5-3,” Tagovailoa said.
“We just have to put the puzzle pieces together, get those guys with us and see where it takes us.”
Dolphins Gm Chris Grier had already made a series of moves during the off-season, including signing pro bowl left tackle Terron Armstead and completing the shocking trade for all-pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

“I’ve always just seen it as always trying to put together the best team we can,” he said.
“So for us I think we have a lot of good players. i think mike [McDaniel] and this coaching staff has done a great job working with these guys, implementing their schedule and doing things that give us a chance to win.
“I don’t like predictions and stuff, but I do think we have a good team that has a chance in the future to compete and win some games.”
