Tsutsu-um Shrine puzzle solution

In Tsutsu-um Shrine, you use posts and panels attached to posts to guide a ball into a hole. (It sounds simpler than it is.)

1. There’s a lot to expect when you walk into Tsutsu-um Shrine, but we’ll take it in steps.

2. On the left side there is a panel on the floor next to a combination of panel and post. There is also a piston hanging from the ceiling that moves up and down. Grab the panel with Ultrahand and place it on the post protruding from the left side of the piston.

3. Take the panel pole and insert it into the piston when it is at the lowest point — this creates a platform that you can ride on like an elevator.

4. Climb it and ride it. Drop onto the platform behind the piston. Pull both panel pin assemblies off the piston and carry them to the right past the updraft vent, then place them on the metal platform in front of the large spinning wheel.

5. Ride the updraft up and slide to the pillar behind the piston to get a chest with a bundle of arrows inside.

6. Ride the updraft back up and direct your glide toward the metal platform further to the right. There is a second, smaller metal platform above the larger one – that’s where you go.

7. Your goal here is to position the panels and posts so that the ball is directed down the ramp and then onto the big wheel.

8. Look at the wall directly in front of the chute where the ball comes out. There is a pole there – you can leave it there. Grab one of the panel posts and turn it 45° (or 90°) clockwise to stop the ball.

9. Grab one of the posts and place it to pin the spinning rock seesaw in place so that it slopes to the right.

10. You may have to adjust the positions a bit, but this will direct the ball into the bin in front of the big wheel.

11. Once the ball is in the bin, take one of the ring-panel combinations.

12. Place the ring-panel combination horizontally in the rotating wheel on the left (at the 9 o’clock position). The goal here is to get it to sweep through the bowl and push the ball into the bowl.

13. If the ball is pushed into the bowl on the far right, it will roll into its hole and open the gate on the right.

14. Go through to pick you up Light of blessing and leave.
