Trump’s granddaughter Carolina, 4, steals the hearts of the Republican convention as she sits on his lap to watch dad Eric speak
Donald Trump’s youngest of 10 grandchildren sat on his lap as her father Eric delivered his speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday.
The final night of the convention welcomed Trump’s largest entourage of family members, including Eric and Lara Trump’s children Carolina, 4, and Luke, 6.
Carolina clapped as she sat on Trump’s lap, while her older brother Eric Luke cheered on their father who sat on mother Lara’s lap.
Following the attempted assassination of Trump at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last Saturday, family members of his revealed a “more human” side of the abrasive former president.

“Five days ago, Lara, Luke, Carolina and I held our breath as we watched the blood pour down your face,” Eric said onstage. “By the grace of God, divine intervention and your guardian angels above, you survived.”
Seventeen-year-old Kai Trump, the eldest of the grandchildren, stole the show when she made her national stage debut at the convention on Wednesday.
She said Trump is just a “normal grandpa” who secretly gives his grandchildren soda and candy while their parents watch.
Kai’s four siblings sat with her in Trump’s guest box at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Former First Lady Melania Trump, her daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner also showed up to support the former president, who closed the convention as the official 2024 nominee.
