Trump’s glamorous aide Margo Martin rescues Eric by slapping back at ‘liars’ who said ex-president’s son posted ‘fake’ video of crowds lining the street to greet him

  • Eric Trump posted a video of a crowd waiting for him next to Trump Tower
  • Supporters of Joe Biden claimed it was actually a crowd for the president in April
  • But more videos from different angles proved that it was indeed from Tuesday

Supporters of Joe Biden thought they had caught Eric Trump in an embarrassing blunder that confused a crowd of his father’s supporters with those of the president.

But it turns out the Twitter mob that came after Donald Trump’s middle son was comically mistaken.

Eric Trump shared the video on Tuesday of a crowd lining the streets of Manhattan, which he said supported his father after his trial.

“It was such a beautiful scene when we got back to Trump Tower! What incredible love!’ He wrote.

Within hours, the post was mockingly retweeted with ‘community notes’ attached declaring it to be the wrong group

The sequence continued until Trump's deputy communications director Margo Martin revealed that she was the one who filmed the video

The video showed the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 56th Street, right next to Trump Tower.

Within hours, the post was mockingly retweeted with ‘community notes’ attached declaring it to be the wrong group.

“It is a video of a crowd that gathered for President Biden in April when he visited Howard Stern in New York,” the note read.

The sequence continued until Trump’s deputy communications director Margo Martin revealed that she was the one who filmed the video.

“The only liars here are you and Joe Biden,” she wrote in response to one of former NBC executive Mike Sington’s tweets.

“I took this video of President Trump’s motorcade outside Trump Tower. Here’s the timestamped screenshot from my phone to prove it.’

Not everyone believed her, but more and more people began posting footage from different angles that showed Martin’s video from Tuesday was of a Trump mob.

C-SPAN video from behind the crowd showed people wearing identical clothing and accessories, including one wearing a red Trump MAGA hat.

The same people as in Martin’s video and C-SPAN were present, along with a green crane in the background of both videos.

After they were proven wrong, the community notes disappeared and Sington, among others, deleted their mocking tweets.
