  • Trip finds herself caught in the middle of E. Jean Carroll’s rape trial in Manhattan

Former President Donald Trump dressed in a jacket and ski cap as he toured a new golf course in Scotland.

He made the trip abroad even as he wrote that “make America great again” was on his mind during his 2024 re-election campaign.

He left town during his ongoing rape trial, where attorney Joe Tacopina cross-examined prosecutor E. Jean Carroll after he demanded a mistrial and cited “unfair” rulings by the judge. Tacopina did not say whether Trump plans to appear to testify himself, in a trial that could conclude this week.

Trump was seen driving around on what would become the second set of links on his Aberdeen golf course.

It was a fresh day, with a high of 45 and a low of 37 Fahrenheit on Monday.

Trump landed in Aberdeenshire and was greeted by Sarah Malone, executive vice president of Trump International Golf Links Scotland.

He was accompanied by his son Eric, a Trump Organization executive.

He praised his journey on his Truth Social platform and sounded eager to get started after a stint that also included his former Vice President Mike Pence testifying before a grand jury investigating his efforts to overturn the election.

In a few weeks, Trump plans to hold a campaign event this year in Des Moines, Iowa, a major battleground for Republican candidates.

‘Departing soon for Scotland and Ireland to view and inspect my great properties there,’ he wrote before touting his overseas property as ‘one of the largest in the world’.

‘Will meet lots of great friends and cut a ribbon for a new and spectacular second course in Aberdeen.

“Very exciting despite the fact that it’s ‘make America great again’ I’m thinking about, in fact America will be bigger than ever before,” he wrote.

Cutting his ribbon at the Menie estate comes for a trip Tuesday to his Turnberry course.

Trump’s plan to build a 550-home village along the track has met with angry local opposition and an attempt by environmentalists to block it.

Developments on the estate, dubbed the Trump International Golf Links, will also include a city hall and public plaza – and are being developed with the intention of hosting international tournaments.
