Donald Trump, the four-time indicted former president of the United States, vowed Tuesday to lock up his political enemies if he returns to the White House.

He made this extraordinary claim during an interview with Glenn Beck when the right-wing broadcaster asked him about his 2016 campaign pledge to imprison Hillary Clinton.

“Do you regret not locking her up?” And when you’re president again, are you going to lock people up?” Beck asked Trump.

The former president answered the question directly.

“Well, I’ll give you an example… The answer is you don’t have a choice, because they’re doing it to us,” he replied.

Hillary Clinton, 2016 Democratic presidential nominee

Donald Trump, the four-time indicted former president of the United States, vowed Tuesday to lock up his political enemies if he returned to the White House after being asked if he regretted reneging on his campaign promise to go after Hillary Clinton. go was not fulfilled.

Trump faces four charges, including 91 criminal charges and possible sentences of up to hundreds of years in prison.

They cover alleged crimes related to hush money payments to a porn star, classified documents recovered from his home, and his attempts to retain power after losing the 2020 election.

He denies all allegations and claims to be a victim of political persecution.

These cries have been echoed by Republican allies who say the Justice Department and FBI have been politicized and armed against the 77-year-old president.

“I have always had such great respect for the office of the president, the presidency… continued Trump.

And I never hit Biden as hard as I could have. And then I heard he was trying to sue me and it was he who did. you know.

“I don’t think he’s sharp enough to think much about it, but he was there and he was probably the one who gave the order.”

In fact, the four cases are brought before independent prosecutors. Justice Department Special Counsel Jack Smith is leading two federal cases; Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg is leading the case regarding New York business documents; and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is leading an investigation into attempts to overturn Georgia’s election results.

But Trump insisted that Biden or his party were pulling the strings, without providing evidence.

‘I don’t know if you know this. He’s put his top person in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office,” he said. “They’ve had full coordination with Fani Willis.

“The woman I never met who they accused me of raping is led by a Democrat, a Democrat, and paid by the Democrat.

“You know, these days I have a few other lawsuits against me that have all been funded by the Democrats. But these are sick people. These are bad people.’

The woman he says he never met is writer E. Jean Carroll, who accused Trump of sexually assaulting her in a story about the New York chapter in the 1990s.

Earlier this year, a jury found Trump liable for libel and sexual assault.
