Trump tells Iowans to meet even if they are sick and DIE: Ex-president says ‘If you vote and then die, it’s worth it’

Donald Trump told Iowans preparing for the caucus that “if you vote and then die, it’s worth it.”

As the state battles life-threatening cold ahead of Monday’s crucial vote, the former president told his passionate supporters in Indianola they couldn’t “sit at home.”

Wind chills could reach minus 14 degrees and residents are warned they could get frostbite outside if they expose their skin for 10 minutes.

The 77-year-old then pictured a couple preparing to step out in sub-zero temperatures to show their support.

“When you’re as sick as a dog, you say, honey, even if you vote and then die, it’s worth it.

“Remember, when you’re sick, when you’re so sick, you can’t, honey, I don’t think…

“Stand up,” Trump says, playing the role of partner.

Trump said his supporters would be safe if they voted for him.

“You’ll be safe,” he added. “And again, it will all be inside.”

The caucuses are a huge operation, and some candidates have plans to ensure that supporters are driven to their districts.

The Des Moines Register/NBC News poll released Saturday evening shows Trump supporters are the most enthusiastic, and the weather won’t stop them.

He has a 28-point lead over second-place Nikki Haley and is on track for a record caucus victory.
