Trump tells Haley she will be ‘under investigation’ for ‘things she doesn’t want to talk about’ if she stays in the race in ominous warning shot to his rival ahead of South Carolina primary

  • Trump said without evidence Haley would be investigated
  • He said she would be investigated “within 15 minutes.”
  • Trump denounced her in a speech after mocking her birth name

Former President Donald Trump appeared to hide a threat at the end of his victory speech in New Hampshire, where a dominant theme was about rival Nikki Haley for dressing up her own second-place finish “as if she had won.”

Trump spoke shortly after Haley, who trailed him with more than 10 percent of the vote on Tuesday, promised supporters she would campaign in her home state of South Carolina, calling herself “scrappy” and a “fighter.”

Trump, who regularly complains about the “witch hunts” against him, referenced investigations after attacking Haley for her reaction to the results and even her attire in a wild victory speech.

“These are very dishonest people and you’re always fighting that, and just a little note for Nikki, she’s not going to win,” Trump said. “But if she did, she’d be investigated by those people in fifteen minutes, and I could tell you five reasons why. No big reasons. A little thing she doesn’t want to talk about. But she will be investigated in a few minutes,” he said, arousing suspicion without specifying particularly inappropriate behavior.

Former President Donald Trump said that if Nikki Haley won, “within 15 minutes she would be investigated by those people and I could already tell you five reasons why.” He brought up the innuendo after insulting her for acting ‘like she had won’

“And so would Ron (DeSantis), but he decided to leave. He decided to do that – now Vivek, I don’t think so at all because he’s perfect,” Trump said, ending with a joke about Vivek Ramaswamy, who stood on stage and supported him during Trump’s victory speech.

Trump, who faces four criminal charges and was acquitted after two impeachments as president, had already attacked Haley early in the evening before her speech.

‘Someone ran onto the stage dressed nicely when it was at seven o’clock, but now I just walked up and it said 14. It was seven. And you know, we have to do what’s right for our party. And she was awake and I said, “Wow, she’s giving a speech like she won.” She didn’t win. She lost,” he said.

Nikki Haley vowed to fight on after congratulating Trump on his victory in New Hampshire

Trump spoke shortly after Haley, who trailed him Tuesday with more than 10 percent of the vote, promised supporters she would campaign in her home state of South Carolina.

Haley increased her criticism of Trump after she found herself in a two-person race, calling him and Joe Biden 80-year-olds (Trump is 77), and questioning his mental acuity after he mixed her up in a speech with Nancy Pelosi.

Trump had mocked her Indian birth name, in the shadow of his ‘birther’ attacks on Barack Obama, by calling her ‘Nimbra’. Her birth name is Nimarata.

Haley has avoided some of the criticism that comes with being a front-runner after emerging from a crowded field. Days ago, DailyMail.com quoted witnesses who contradicted her denials of an affair in 2008. New York Times reported on contracts she was able to obtain while in the state legislature, which tripled her income, but this was not made public until 2010.
