Trump super PAC poll finds 83 percent of GOP primary voters think Bragg indictment is political
Allies of Donald Trump are confident that the Manhattan district attorney’s pursuit of the former president will make him unbeatable in the race to secure the 2024 Republican nomination.
A confidential memo sent to donors by the CEO of MAGA Inc, a Trump-aligned superpolitical action committee, includes a poll showing that 83 percent of likely GOP primary voters think the charges are politically motivated and baseless.
Republican primary voters are united in the belief that [Manhattan D.A.] Alvin Bragg and his liberal cohorts are launching a baseless, politically motivated attack on President Trump,” concluded Tony Fabrizio, Trump’s chief pollster for his 2016 and 2020 campaigns, in the memo obtained by DailyMail.com.
“Given the overwhelming opinions of Republican primary voters on this issue, it is highly likely that this indictment will only further unite the party behind President Trump.”
The data puts statistical meat on the rhetorical bones of Trump supporters who have taken to the airwaves in the 24 hours since news of an indictment said it will only make the former president stronger.

The survey of 800 likely primary or caucus participants was conducted before Thursday’s bombshell. It was conducted by Fabrizio, Lee and Associates.
Respondents were asked if they agreed with the statement, “Liberals use the government as a weapon to attack Donald Trump.”
About 69 percent said they strongly agreed; 15 percent said they somewhat agreed; with a total of 13 percent indicating that they strongly or somewhat disagree.
When asked what they thought about Bragg’s likely indictment, some 83 percent said they thought it was “politically motivated and baseless,” compared to just 11 percent who believed it was “legitimate and not politically motivated.”
“As I said yesterday on Fox News, this is not an indictment of a crime — there was no crime,” wrote Taylor Budowich, CEO of MAGA Inc.
Instead, this news is the indictment of a failed nation. President Trump vows to end the war in Ukraine peacefully, dismantle the deep state, and save our country by putting America first.
“Because of that, the political elites and those in power have armed the government to try and stop him. They will fail.
“He will be re-elected in the greatest landslide in American history, and together we will all make America great again.”

That belief sparked a massive fundraiser Thursday night, with emails and public appeals.
A host of surrogates — key allies with a coordinated massage — fanned out on television to make it clear that the indictment would only make Trump stronger.
Trump will face charges on Tuesday when he will be formally arrested, plunging the country into the uncharted legal and political territory of a former president facing a judge.
John Fredericks, a radio host and former chairman of Mr Trump’s Virginia campaigns in 2016 and 2020, said the base would assemble in a way Democrats could never have imagined.
“This charge is our charge. His belief is our belief,” he said.

The Allies said they had a plan to send out messages as soon as the charge came in. That included a barrage of fundraising emails as the campaign appears to be making money
Republican strategists pointed out that Trump had once again dominated the news cycle, generating much deserved coverage and likely raking in cash donations
“Every working-class American has been screwed so many times by this administration, and they are seeing it happen again with Trump.
“He’s a lightning rod for all of us.”
Republican strategist John Feehery said the indictment, and two weeks of speculation leading up to it, had put Trump at the top of the news cycle.
It’s not good news, no doubt. And I think independent voters don’t want an indicted president or candidate to run for office,” he said.
“But during the Mar-a-Lago raid, independent voters flocked back to Trump.”
When the FBI searched Trump’s Florida home last year, many Republicans who had distanced themselves from the former president spoke out in favor of his defense.
