Trump shooting witnesses blame ‘crazy’ talk after Supreme Court immunity decision for ‘evil’ attempted assassin’s rampage that sent them running for their lives
MAGA fans who survived the shooting and attended Trump’s rally in Bulter, Pennsylvania, are sharing harrowing stories of running for cover as the former president’s life flashed before their eyes.
In the opening moments of his campaign speech, a bullet grazed Trump’s ear. Eight rounds were fired by a 20-year-old sniper wielding an “AR-style” weapon from the roof of a nearby building before the killer – identified as Thomas Crooks – was shot dead by police.
One participant was fatally injured and two others are in critical condition.
Pam, a Michigan woman, had set up a large display of Trump merchandise just outside the rally venue on Saturday night.
She heard the shots shortly after 6pm local time and told DailyMail.com: ‘Suddenly you saw people screaming and running. I’m a bit numb, how can anyone feel entitled to do that?’
Bill Bailey – another Trump supporter – said: ‘I fear for his safety, I’ve had a terrible feeling in my stomach these past few months’

“It’s just bad. They hate Trump…what an unholy person,” she continued.
Bill Bailey, another Trump supporter, said: “I fear for his safety. I’ve had a bad feeling in my stomach for the last few months.”
“Right before Congress, right after the rhetoric from the Supreme Court, where people are calling on Biden to use his newfound immunity to order the assassination of Trump.”
“There’s been so much talk about Trump’s assassination over the last two weeks. All that talk just gives crazy people dust in their heads.”
On July 1, the Supreme Court issued a landmark ruling that the President of the United States is immune from prosecution for official acts while in office.
The ruling has far-reaching implications for the president’s powers and the criminal cases against Donald Trump.
The case revolved around special counsel Jack Smith’s prosecution of Trump for allegedly masterminding efforts to overturn the 2020 election while he was still in office, including on January 6.
Greg Smith, owner of Brenckle’s Farms & Greenhouses, had hosted a private party for his family at his estate.

After Trump arrived, Smith and his family went outside to see what they could see.
“Most people ran to the fence, I stayed by the tree,” he told DailyMail.com.
Then he saw a man crawling on the roof of a building.
“I saw a man crawling on the roof of that building,” he continued. “I thought, ‘That doesn’t seem right.’
He said the man did not look like a Secret Service man at all. He was dressed in brown and gray clothing and was not in uniform.

Police officers were spotted around the building, apparently looking for someone.
“I point to the roof and say, ‘Hey man, there’s a guy on the roof with a gun,’” he continued.
The police officers continued to run around the area as he continued to shout and point at the person.
He pointed directly at the man, allowing the Secret Service to see him for a minute or two.
“I think to myself, ‘Why is Trump still on this stage speaking? Why is he still standing there talking?’
Smith said he saw the man climb onto the roof, roll around with the gun and start shooting.
“I saw the Secret Service blow his head off,” he said.
He then ran to pick up his wife and three children and bring them to safety.

“At this point, the more I think about it, it feels to me like a huge security failure.”
‘This isn’t a big place, there aren’t many buildings around, why isn’t everything covered?’
When asked why there was no one in the water tower that overlooks the entire grounds, he replied, “I don’t like it man, I don’t like what’s happening, I don’t like the feeling, I really don’t.”
