Donald Trump accused the media of covering up the story of Kamala Harris’ Jamaican-born father in the latest attack on his rival’s character and biography.
Trump gave a lengthy speech to the media during a “roundtable” his campaign hosted at his Doral golf club in Florida, where speakers accused Harris of human trafficking and Trump accused her of “illegal” lying.
Trump again brought up Harris’ father Donald, who taught Marxist economics at Stanford and who has almost no public relationship with his famous daughter, and then linked it to his repeated attacks on the “fake news” media.
‘She’s a Marxist. Her father is a Marxist professor. By the way, the fake news – look at them all. Where is the father? We should interview. Because I would find it interesting to see what he has to say. Don’t know. that they seem to have a problem, but it would be nice to interview the father.
‘He’s a Marxist professor, and that’s fine with me. That’s fine, fine, but I think it’s appropriate for the father to be interviewed by the fake news. They don’t want to interview him. And I wonder why, if we had a real press in this country, this wouldn’t even be a race,” Trump said. “And I’m not sure it’s a race anyway,” he said of a race that the polls show is close to dead-heat even though he has topped recent polls.
Former President Donald Trump demanded that the ‘fake news’ media interview Vice President Kamala Harris’ 86-year-old father
As DailyMail.com previously reported, Donald Harris, 86, lives in Washington, DC and appears to be estranged from his daughter. He did not appear at the Democratic National Convention or other major events in his daughter’s life, and there are no records of him visiting the White House. In his work in the 1970s, he expressed Marxist economic views and advised the Jamaican government on policy.
He has not responded to attempts by DailyMail.com to contact him. Harris’ sister, Maya, also largely disappears from public view.
Trump made the attack during a boisterous monologue in which he called his rival “damn lazy” and a “radical left-wing lunatic” and took aim at targets including his opposition to electric trucks and tried to tie her to human trafficking at the southern border.
“She’s further left than Bernie Sanders or Pocahontas,” Trump said, taking a swipe at Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts.
He called Harris, who took on a role focused on the “root causes” of migration, “this stupid person who was the border czar” as a “bad reporter.”
He repeatedly attacked her for not being on the campaign trail on Monday, even after she held three on Sunday with Trump nemesis, former Republican Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.). The Harris camp last week derided Trump as “exhausted” after reporting that he had canceled interviews.
‘She’s sleeping now. She couldn’t go out. You’d think she wouldn’t sleep if you had 14 days left,” Trump said early in the evening. He accused her of “taking the day off” and said “this is not what you want.”
Much of the conversation seemed inconsistent with the planned focus on Latino leaders, although some issues, such as the economy and immigration, are of concern to both Latino and non-Latino voters.
Trump began the event, much of which was broadcast live on Fox News, with an awkward public inability to identify his seatmate.

Latino community leaders prayed for Trump at the end of the event at Trump’s Doral Golf Course
“I would like to thank all the representatives from the Doral region, both the mayor and everyone. Where’s Christy?’ Trump asked. The mayor, who was sitting immediately to his left, then tapped the former president, 78, to let him know she was there.
“Oh, my Christie,” Trump replied, suddenly realizing his mistake. “You’ve been so great and we’ve worked together for a long time.”
Trump invited several people to speak at the event, including one who accused Harris without evidence of being the biggest human trafficker in history.
“Kamala, where are the children?” he asked. “These people Kamala, Biden, they are the biggest human traffickers in history.
Trump underscored the accusation without directly repeating it when he said, “325,000 children are missing, sex slaves or dead.”
“Slaves, sex slaves, missing or dead,” Trump repeated.
Possibly he was referring to one Inspector General’s report which showed that more than 291,000 unaccompanied migrant children had not been notified to appear in court, and 32,000 unaccompanied migrant children had not appeared in court. But the figures covered the years 2018 to 2023 seem to show There are more flaws in the government paperwork than the loss of the children. Trump was in office for fifteen months during that period.
Trump said of his rivals that “the level of lying is just unbelievable, and I mean, to a point where I can’t even imagine it being legal.” He said he had consulted top lawyers about election ads that he said violated his policies.
“Isn’t that election interference, and isn’t that fraud, and isn’t there a court that can do something about that?” he asked.
As the event ended, leaders laid hands on Trump and prayed for him. Then the music came on and the Village People’s “YMCA” sounded, just like at the end of the Trump rallies.
