Trump says he’s agreed to Fox News debate with Kamala Harris on September 4 in Pennsylvania arena

Donald Trump has said he will debate Kamala Harris on September 4.

The GOP candidate claims the in-person meeting will take place at an arena in Pennsylvania, but Harris has yet to confirm that.

On Friday evening, Trump wrote the following on Truth Social: “I have agreed with FoxNews to debate Kamala Harris on Wednesday, September 4th.”

Trump claims the ABC News debate scheduled for September 10 was “terminated” when Biden withdrew from the race.

He also alleged a conflict of interest because he is pursuing a lawsuit against ABC and host George Stephanopoulos, whom Trump calls “Slopadopoulos.”

Donald Trump has agreed to a debate with Democratic US Vice President Kamala Harris on Fox News on September 4, he said in a statement Friday evening.

“The FoxNews debate will be held in the Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at a location to be determined,” Trump added.

He claimed that Fox’s Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum would moderate the debate and said the rules will be similar to those of the previous debate in Atlanta, with one major difference.

‘[T]The rules will be similar to the rules of my debate with Sleepy Joe, who was treated terribly by his party – BUT WITH A FULL ARENA AUDIENCE!….’

Trump says if Harris doesn’t show up, he will hold a Fox News meeting instead.

Pennsylvania, which Biden turned blue in 2020, has emerged as one of the key swing states in recent weeks after Trump was nearly assassinated at a rally in Butler on July 6.

The commonwealth could also produce Harris’ pick for vice president on the ticket, as Gov. Josh Shapiro is seen as the favorite. Her pick for Shapiro appeared to have been accidentally leaked by the Democratic mayor of Philly on Friday.

Harris has publicly criticized Trump for second-guessing ABC on his commitment to participate in a September debate.

He was eager to do so in the days following Biden’s disastrous June 27 debate, which ultimately led to his withdrawal from the 2024 race.

Last month, she had already said she was “ready” after Fox News suggested the two candidates would hold a presidential debate on September 17.

After Biden withdrew from the race on July 21 and endorsed Harris, Trump said he would not debate her because she was not the official nominee.

As evidence of her lack of support, he added that former President Barack Obama had not yet endorsed her. But Obama did so a day later, and by Friday she had secured the delegate votes needed to secure the Democratic nomination.

“What happened to ‘any time, any place?’” Harris asked in response to a post on X announcing Trump was pulling out of the event.

“If you have something to say, say it to my face,” Harris said later this week at a campaign rally in Atlanta, Georgia. Her comment drew a loud response.

However, Trump had agreed to debate President Joe Biden during the ABC debate on September 10, but not Harris.

Still, he promised to debate, “anytime, anywhere.”

Steven Cheung, communications director for the Trump campaign, sought clarity on Trump’s commitments after the former president withdrew last week.

“Given the ongoing political chaos surrounding Crooked Joe Biden and the Democratic Party, the details of the general election debate cannot be finalized until Democrats formally decide on their nominee,” he said.

‘Many in the Democratic Party, particularly Barack Hussein Obama, believe Kamala Harris is a Marxist fraud who cannot beat President Trump. They are still hoping for someone ‘better.’

“Therefore, it would not be appropriate to schedule any business with Harris, because the Democrats could still change their minds.”

The Democratic National Convention from August 19 to 22 will officially determine the party’s presidential nominee, but Harris has already secured enough delegates.

Trump, for his part, is still trying to escape from the pressure.

He has since called ABC “fake news” and said he would rather see the event aired on Fox News.
