Trump says he will throw a ‘huge party’ to mark July 4, 2026
Former President Donald Trump made a number of promises for a second term, including throwing a massive party to mark America’s 250th birthday, during his speech Saturday night at the Faith & Freedom Coalition gala.
During his presidency, Trump pushed for the idea of North Korea-style military parades and finally managed to throw a massive Fourth of July celebration for the Lincoln Memorial in 2019 — complete with tanks and flyovers.
Noting how the US would celebrate a grand anniversary in 2026, he vowed to do it again, saying that in order to “restore pride in our history and confidence in our future,” he offered a “huge year-long salute to America would bring to celebrate the 250th anniversary.” birthday.’
And we’re going to have a big party. And it’s going to be a party like we really deserve in this country for all we’ve been through,” Trump said.
“With you by my side, we will give the founding of our country the great anniversary celebration that America needs and so richly deserves,” the 2024 hopeful added.

In 2019, the then president hosted a “Salute to America” in front of the Lincoln Memorial, which was a departure from typical Fourth of July celebrations.
The event included tanks and military flyovers, rather than the president simply addressing a crowd of supporters and military families on the South Lawn
The former president also rolled out a possible new campaign slogan during his nearly hour-and-a-half performance before the conservative Christian crowd.
“I’m being sued for you,” he said.
He continued to complain about the recent federal charges brought against him for mishandling classified materials, again arguing that he was just an ex-president who “legally kept his own records.”
The former president also called out Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg, who charged him with crimes related to Stormy Daniels’ hush money scheme in 2016, and vowed to go after him and other DAs if Trump retook the White House at the elections of 2024.
“I will order a completely overhauled DOJ to investigate every radical prosecutor in America,” Trump promised, calling them “racists in reverse.”
He earned a “USA” chant from the crowd when he proclaimed, “I’m probably the only person in history to be charged and my numbers went up.”
“Every time the radical left Democrats, Marxists, Communists and Fascists sue me, I take it as a great show of courage,” Trump said.
Trump knocked on President Joe Biden’s door about son Hunter’s business dealings with China – portraying the president as soft-spoken towards the rising power over his family’s financial entanglements.
“Joe Biden is by far the most corrupt president in our country’s history,” he said.
“Just two days ago, a highly respected IRS whistleblower revealed that Crooked Joe was sitting in a room while his son, Hunter, was sending a message to a Chinese Communist Party official,” the former president continued.
Trump then read the crowd a text from Hunter to a Chinese business associate.
In the text, Hunter says he is with his father and then tells the employee, “and we would like to know why the agreement that was made was not kept.”
“This is cash he’s talking about,” Trump told the crowd about the “commitment.” “Within ten days, the Bidens received $5.1 million from China.”
‘Can you believe it? I didn’t know he was that tough,” Trump said of Hunter, laughing.
Trump then claimed that Biden “wants to do nothing because he can’t” to China that wants to build a troop training facility in Cuba, adding that nothing can be done, “unless I get back in.”

“I have to ask Ralph a question, were your other candidates treated like this?” said former President Donald Trump (center), turning to Faith & Freedom Coalition founder Ralph Reed (right), who sat behind him onstage and cheered the audience
“In that case, I will let China know they have 48 hours to get military and spy equipment out of Cuba, or I will drop the hammer and there will be tariffs like China has never seen before,” Trump said.
Trump was easily the favorite speaker at the conference — where every major 2024 Republican presidential nominee was in attendance.
“I have to ask Ralph a question, were your other candidates treated like this?” Trump said, turning to Faith & Freedom Coalition founder Ralph Reed, who sat behind him onstage and cheered the audience.
Trump then joked that a presidential candidate was “booed off stage,” referring to New Jersey Governor Chris Chrstie, whose Trump criticisms at conference Friday morning harassed him.
He was joined on stage by MAGA allies – failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award.
The former president teased a second-term agenda.
He got a lot of cheers when he promised to “wipe out the deep state.”
Trump said he would create “the Truth and Reconciliation Commission” that would declassify all documents related to the so-called “deep state” and track down “espionage.”
Trump promised to harden the border and kick illegal immigrants out of the US
He said he would command the “biggest ever domestic deportation operation.”
And he would deny entry to all “communists and totalitarians.”
“My question is, what do we do with those who are already here?” he mused.
Trump again claimed he could “settle” the war in Ukraine within 24 hours.
“Before I get to the Oval Office, I will have settled the terrible war between Russia and Ukraine,” he said.
He received roaring applause when he said he would be “your peacemaker.”
The crowd was made up of Christian conservatives cheering that it was the one-year anniversary of the demise of Roe v. Wade.
“I will fight the demented late abortionists in the Democratic Party,” Trump promised.
The former president has declined to say whether he would support a proposed 15-week national abortion ban that former Vice President Mike Pence supports, among others.
Instead, Trump said that in a second term he would “bring everyone together to give great protection to our precious unborn babies.”
The ex-president also pledged not to allow money to public schools that taught critical race theory or pushed a vaccine mandate.
He targeted the transgender community—he pledged to kick transgender troops out of the military again, ban gender-confirming medical treatments for minors, prevent taxpayer money from going to gender reassignments, and ban transgender women from participating in women’s sports.
