Trump says he ‘tends to’ pardon most of the Capitol rioters on January 6 because only ‘a few’ got out of hand — and refuses to apologize for endangering Mike Pence’s life
- The former president said he will pardon the “majority” of the January 6 rioters
- He lashed out at the far-left Antifa group at his town hall at CNN
- Trump said Pence was wrong not to support his rigged election claims
Donald Trump has lashed out at and berated his Vice President Mike Pence for refusing to support his false claims that the 2020 election was set.
The real estate mogul turned down a question from CNN moderator Kaitlin Collins about saying sorry to his former deputy.
‘No, he did something wrong. He should have returned the votes to the state legislature and I think we would have had a different outcome,” the former president told CNN.
Trump declined questions about whether he would apologize for the January 6 riots on Capitol Hill in Washington DC
“I am inclined to pardon many of them. I can’t say for all, because there are a few they probably got out control,” Trump said.
The New Hampshire primetime forum was already said to be noteworthy when it was publicly announced last week.
Trump and CNN have long sparred with each other, with the former president often labeling the network “fake news.”

The jury awarded her $5 million in damages. Trump called the verdict “an embarrassment” and promised to appeal.
A small group of anti-Trump protesters gathered outside the town hall venue at Saint Anselm College in Manchester on Wednesday night.
Their signs carried messages such as “No one is above the law” and “Elections, not insurrection.”

The 44-year-old is expected to launch his campaign in the coming weeks, but he is constantly attacked by Trump for dodging the press.
