President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural committee is no longer selling tickets for major donors to attend his swearing-in ceremony due to a reported shortage.
Million-dollar donors are now on waiting lists for opening events, as tickets for many of the events in Washington, D.C. that weekend are sold out.
That hasn’t stopped donors from cutting checks for the president-elect, as some send money to the committee without getting access to the inaugural events in return.
One donor who is advocating for the committee confirmed to DailyMail.com that wealthy donors were struggling to get confirmed access to any of the opening events.
The former and future president’s inaugural committee has already raised $170 million, at a pace that could reach $200 million.
The staggering amount more than doubles the money President Joe Biden raised in 2020, as his committee raised just $62 million after defeating Trump in the presidential election.
The donations will be used to pay for the inauguration ceremonies, including the oath of office ceremony, the parade and the inaugural balls, as they are not funded by the American taxpayer.
Additional money will be used to fund President Trump’s future presidential library.

Flags fly near the US Capitol as preparations are underway for the upcoming presidential inauguration of newly elected US President Donald Trump.
“There is incredible interest and excitement in President Trump’s inauguration and the events surrounding it,” committee spokesperson Danielle Alvarez said.
Inaugural committees offer deceased donors the opportunity to express their support for the president-elect even after donating to his opponent during the campaign.
The inauguration is the latest event where donors can work with members of the new administration.
Inaugural events include a Make America Great Again victory rally on Saturday, a reception with Trump’s Cabinet officials and a dinner with Vice President J.D. Vance, according to a copy of a donor package obtained by the Daily Mail.
“Space is limited,” the message warns.

On Sunday, high-dollar donors can attend an interfaith Sunday service with Donald and Melania Trump and a candlelight dinner with the first couple in the evening.
Donors also get access to Monday’s inauguration ceremony and parade with tickets to the inauguration ball.
Major donors and tech executives who donated to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris during the election have signaled their support for Trump after he won the election in a landslide.
Other donors are unhappy about the Democratic party’s use of their money for Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign after she lost despite spending more than $1 billion in donations.
