Trump rejects claims he is ‘cognitively impaired’, insists he deliberately mixes up Obama and Biden and boasts that he ‘ACED’ his latest cognitive exam as he fires back at claims he is too old and brushes off recent gaffes

Former President Donald Trump bragged that he “ACED” his cognitive test during a recent physical exam and claims his repeated comments mixing the names of President Barack Obama and Joe Biden were done “sarcastically.”

Trump, 77, defended his mental acuity in a 150-word post on his Truth Social platform, days after releasing the results of a letter from a New Jersey osteopath praising his “exceptional” performance on a cognitive exam .

That release, on President Joe Biden’s 81st birthday, followed a series of reports about Trump’s missteps during recent public speeches. That in itself is a reversal from the repeated attention to Biden’s own string of blunders, misstatements, outdated stories and occasional difficulty immediately knowing which way to go after delivering remarks on stage.

“Every time I sarcastically insert the name Obama before Biden as an indication that others can actually have a very significant influence on running our country, Ron DeSanctimonious and his failed campaign apparatus, along with the Democrats’ radical left ‘Disinformation Machine’ , wildly saying that “Trump doesn’t know the name of our president, (COOKED!) Joe Biden. He must have a cognitive impairment,” Trump wrote in his characteristic opening style.

Former President Donald Trump, who has mixed up the names of Barack Obama and Joe Biden in recent public comments, said he was speaking “sarcastically.” He also bragged about “passing” a recent cognitive test

“No, I know both names very well, never confuse them and know they are destroying our country,” he said, confronting his critics, including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and the Biden campaign.

Trump tried to copy press reports of his repeated statements inserting Obama’s name in place of Biden, whom he hopes to face on the 2024 ballot.

In one such comment he said: “With Obama, we won an election they said couldn’t be won,” he said. Trump defeated Obama’s Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, in 2016 and then lost to Biden in 2020.

This month in New Hampshire, he referred to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who had given an interview, said he was asked: ‘What would you advise President Obama? The whole world seems to explode.’

According to ForbesTrump has mixed up their names seven times in recent months.

After saying he had replaced the two-term retired Obama’s name on purpose, Trump returned to a topic he had brought up repeatedly in the past, saying he had “passed” his cognitive exam.

‘Also, and as reported, I have just taken and passed a cognitive test as part of my physical examination. Also ACED (a perfect score!) made in the White House. Biden should get one so we can determine why he wants open borders, no energy independence, a woke military, high inflation, no voter ID, men playing in women’s sports, only electric cars and trucks, an armed DOJ /FBI, and so many other CRAZY things!!!’ Trump wrote.

Trump said President Biden should take a cognitive test

Success! Trump bragged that he “passed” his recent cognitive test. In such a prominent exam, participants are asked to name the large animals shown in the photo, as a way to rule out memory problems or other problems.

Trump’s post comes days after he received a letter from Dr. Bruce Aronwold had released confirming his performance on the exam.

“I am pleased to report that President Trump’s overall health is excellent. His physical examinations were well within the normal range and his cognitive examinations were exceptional,” he wrote.

‘Additionally, his most recent comprehensive laboratory analysis remains well within normal limits and was even more favorable than previous testing on some of the key parameters, most likely secondary to weight reduction.’

While in the White House, Trump also bragged about taking a cognitive test, defending his performance in an interview with Chris Wallace.

It was believed he had taken the Montreal Assessment, known as MOCA. One question features line drawings of three animals and asks respondents to indicate which is which. It can be used to reveal deteriorating memory or cognitive function.

DeSantis, who has been insulted by Trump as “DeSanctimonious,” has called out Trump for some of his confusions, including calling Orban the leader of Turkey instead of Hungary and appearing to conflate George W. Bush and his brother Jeb .
