Alina Habba has ruled herself out as announcing Donald Trump, despite speculation that she was the front-runner.
The fire attorney was thought to be a leading contender for one of the most high-profile jobs in administration.
But on Thursday morning she announced she was no longer considering her name.
“While I am flattered by the support and speculation, the role of press secretary is not one I am considering,” Habba wrote on X. “While I enjoy shouting from a podium, I will be better served in other capacities.”
