Trump mugshot t-shirts already for sale online after former president tweets Fulton County jail photo

The already viral mug shot of former President Donald Trump after turning himself in at Fulton County Jail has subsequently spawned a flurry of attempts to capitalize on this image.

Everyone from independent creators to Trump’s own campaign website is trying to sell t-shirts and, perhaps appropriately, mugs among products featuring the former president’s frown.

Trump’s website — which he promoted with his first tweet in more than two years — is currently selling t-shirts, beverage coolers, mugs, and bumper stickers, all with the photo reading “NEVER VOID.”

Etsy creators also try to make money by selling their own merchandise, both for and against the former president.

One pro-Trump shirt simply captions the photo with “LEGEND,” while another less favorable piece of clothing calls it “GUILTY AF,” and another shirt simply memes the face to say it was “Before Coffee.”

The independent website currently sells dozens of pages and hundreds of items, all constructed from Trump’s mugshot.

The image, which quickly went viral, has sparked a huge number of comments from users across platforms.

The image shows a stern-faced Trump in what appears to be a standard booking photo. The former president is pictured wearing a blue suit and red tie.

Within moments of the image appearing on the internet, hashtags such as #TrumpMugshot and #OrangeIsTheNewOrange started trending on X.

Others defended Trump with the hashtag #MyPresident.

Trump himself posted the photo to his X account with the caption DONALDJTRUMP.COM, his first tweet since January 8, 2021.

Here are some of the best, funniest, and craziest memes and posts about the now-infamous mugshot:

Users across the political spectrum chimed in with their thoughts on the mugshot after waiting for it to be released.

Some users on X joked about Trump’s signature haircut, while others speculated playfully about his potential “jail wardrobe.”

Some joked about how the former president’s weight was listed at 215 pounds.

Instagram and TikTok weren’t far behind either, as users flooded these platforms with short videos and image-based memes.

In a widely shared meme, Trump’s face was superimposed over several famous movie scenes in which characters end up behind bars, leaving the public in the lurch.

The memes ranged from light-hearted humor to political satire.

“Trump viciously robs the camera, this is too funny,” one user wrote on X.

Others defended the former president, saying the photo would be used as a rallying cry.

“I stand with President Trump against the commie DA Fani Willis, who is nothing more than a political assassin tasked with taking out Biden’s main political opponent. “Prosecution, not prosecution,” tweeted Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene using the hashtag #MAGAMugshot.

Fake Trump mugshots also went viral before the photo was released.

Trump made history by becoming the first former president to pose for a mugshot after his arrest for trying to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election results.

The 77-year-old was arrested for a fourth time this year and was fingerprinted by authorities at the Fulton County Jail. Unlike his previous three arrests, he had his booking photo taken on Thursday.

He stared into the camera for the historic image, a frown on his face.

Trump’s height and weight were recorded and as part of the booking process he was given a prisoner identification number: P01135809.

He was subsequently released on payment of 10 percent of his $200,000 bail after spending less than 20 minutes in the infamous facility.

The former president traveled to Georgia from his home in Bedminster, New Jersey, on Thursday afternoon.

Prior to his surrender, Trump called Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis a “radical left, lowlife district attorney.” His surrender came hours after Willis requested a lawsuit against Trump in Georgia on Oct. 23, and when his former chief of staff Mark Meadows surrendered to police.

A handful of other Trump allies and “co-conspirators” who reported to Georgia jail this week also had their police photos released by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office. They are accused of joining a “conspiracy” led by Trump to illegally change the outcome of the election.

‘America’s mayor’ Rudy Giuliani faced the humiliation when he had his mugshot taken Wednesday after he was booked in Atlanta jail.

The image shows Giuliani looking straight ahead, showing a slight frown, with industrial lighting on his forehead and a sheriff’s badge on the wall to his right.
