Amid growing calls for Biden to make public the list of names who had been in and out of the home during his presidency, the White House counsel’s office said Monday that no such registry of names exists.
“Like every president in decades of modern history, his personal residence is a personal one,” the White House Attorney’s Office told Fox News.
“But upon taking office, President Biden restored the norm and tradition of keeping White House visitor logs, including periodicals, after they were terminated by the previous administration.”
House Oversight Chairman Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., wrote to White House chief of staff Ron Klain on Sunday demanding access to the visitor logs kept for the Delaware home.
“Without a list of the people who visited your residence, the American people will never know who had access to these highly confidential documents,” the Kentucky Republican wrote in his letter.
