Trump lawyer Alina Habba sparks controversy after fawning over right-wing influencer as Ben Shapiro urges MAGA to dump the ‘evil con artist’

In Alina Habba’s rambling interview with Andrew Tate, Ben Shaprio begs Donald Trump’s MAGA movement to dump the influencer.

Earlier this week, a Romanian court lifted a house arrest against the internet personality, although he remains charged with forming an organized criminal group, human trafficking, trafficking in minors, sexual intercourse with a minor and money laundering. Tate has denied any wrongdoing.

Habba, who will serve as an adviser to the president in his second term, praised Tate for his fight against the establishment and said the charges against him were similar to those against Trump.

“I think your anger is the same as President Trump’s anger for our country, and now is the time for us to stop being wimps,” she said on The Benny Show, hosted by conservative commentator Benny Johnson.

She added that she sympathizes with Tate because he is “going through a lot of the same thing.” [stuff] what President Trump has gone through.”

“There is literally only one person with the same amount of anger and fire. That’s probably me along with President Trump. But it is because you love what is right and you are under siege. And I see it and I just keep fighting, I mean, I’m here for it!’

Tate responded similarly, adding that if he ever reaches America and needs a lawyer, he will call Habba.

That set off alarm bells for Shapiro, who posted his own program on Monday with the headline: “The Right Should DUMP Andrew Tate.”

Shapiro denied that Tate and Trump looked alike and then explained the differences between their cases.

“Andrew Tate is a bullshit sandwich at best. He presents completely differently to different target groups.’

He claimed that Tate will change his mind depending on who he talks to: sometimes a “cheap, anti-feminist talking head,” at other times “an anti-Semitic radical willing to break any taboo for the fringe.”

Shapiro then blasted Tate for his behavior toward women, accusing him of making money from girls performing on “sex cams” and being caught on video talking about hitting women, among other things.

What he ultimately is is a con artist. And he’s basically some kind of evil con artist,” Shapiro said.

He continued in the 24-minute clip and believed Tate was a “pimp, a pornographer” and a man who “made his money grooming women for the sex industry.”

Shapiro compared Tate to the British “grooming gangs” scandal and said Tate was guilty of similar behavior.

“He literally made millions of dollars doing this thing.”

Habba – who has yet to respond to Shapiro – began advising Trump on legal matters in 2021.

She reportedly met the former president at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, as her law firm, Habba Madaio & Associates, is located nearby.

In the run-up to the 2024 election, Habba became a MAGA mainstay, defending Trump through TV appearances and becoming a popular figure at his rallies.

“She’s turned into one of [Trump’s] most trusted advisors,” a source shared with DailyMail.com earlier this month.

It remains unclear whether she will continue to be in touch with Tate, one of the most controversial men on the internet.

Tate has been under house arrest since August when prosecutors launched a second criminal investigation against him, his brother Tristan and four other suspects.

A first criminal case against Tate collapsed in December when the appeals court in Bucharest ruled not to put Tate on trial, but to send the case back to prosecutors.

The decision, which cited flaws in the indictment, was a blow to Romania’s anti-organized crime unit DIICOT.

Judges lifted the house arrest measure on Tuesday as part of the second criminal investigation.

‘This ruling marks a decisive step forward [Tate] the freedom to travel throughout Romania while respecting the required legal conditions,” its representatives said.

Under the lighter preventive measure known as judicial supervision, Tate is required to report regularly to police and is not allowed to contact other suspects or witnesses in his case. He cannot leave Romania.

The Tate brothers, both former kickboxers with dual American and British citizenship, are the most prominent suspects on trial for human trafficking in Romania.

They also have a British arrest warrant and will be extradited after the Romanian trial is completed, a court ruled in March.
