On Sunday evening, new video emerged showing Donald Trump’s supporters outside the security perimeter pointing at the would-be assassin as he crawled across the roof of a nearby building before opening fire on the former president.
In a nearly 50-second clip, attendees at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, who were unable to get in, were seen looking, pointing and wondering why a man was standing on the roof of an industrial building just 400 feet from the stage where Trump was speaking.
“Look, they’re all pointing,” the man behind the camera can be heard saying as the camera pans from the stage to the roof of the warehouse, where a figure is crawling. “Yeah, there’s someone on the roof – look.”
“He’s on the roof!” a woman shouts 40 seconds into the video, as Trump continues his speech in the background.
Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, was killed by the US Secret Service after attempting to assassinate Trump at a rally on Saturday.

One bullet hit the former president in the ear, but his campaign team says he is otherwise “fine.”
According to his associates and analyses of the bullet trajectory, turning his head and looking at the large screen displaying graphs of immigration statistics saved his life.
Former fire chief Corey Comperatore, 50, was killed in the crosshairs of the attack while protecting his wife and two daughters. David Dutch, 57, and James Copenhaver, 74, were seriously injured but are now listed as stable. All three are from Pennsylvania.
The video shows a new angle of the shooter just before he opens fire. The screen reads: “Enough time and opportunity to eliminate the threat,” as questions swirl about where the security flaw was that allowed the assassination attempt.
“There he is, there. Do you see him?” the cameraman says as he points to the figure of Crooks lying on his side on the building in the video. obtained by deaf journalist Annie Dance from North Carolina.
The video shows a handful of people standing in the shadows and staring in the direction of the shooter.

Crooks, who graduated from high school two years ago in the nearby Bethel Park, Pennsylvania neighborhood, was immediately taken into custody by the Secret Service seconds after the attempted assassination.
He used an AR-15, which his father had legally purchased, to carry out the attack.
The FBI is currently investigating the crime and searched Crooks’ family home, where they found explosive materials and bombs in his car, which was parked near the site of the protest in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday.
Congress wants to conduct its own investigation into the matter, specifically looking at the security issues that made the attack possible.
