Trump claims there is a ‘roomer’ Ron DeSantis will drop out of the 2024 race and run for the Senate in typo-ridden social media rant
Donald Trump said rumors are circulating that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis plans to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race and instead bid for the U.S. Senate.
The ex-president made his informal return to Twitter, now known as X, after more than two and a half years by posting an image of his very first mugshot on Thursday. But Trump still rants mostly on his own social media website Truth Social.
He published a typo-plagued post on Monday decrying his No. 1 Republican party rival by claiming DeSantis wants to end his bid for the White House due to “crashing” the polls. In the same post, Trump said DeSantis will instead run against popular Florida Senator Rick Scott after his two-term limit expires in 2026.
In a separate post, Trump railed against “crook” Joe Biden as Congressional Republicans move closer to an impeachment inquiry as they accuse the White House of refusing to cooperate with their multiple investigations.
The string of messages comes just days after Trump handed himself over to authorities in Fulton County, Georgia, to be included in his fourth and final indictment alleging that the ex-president and 18 other co-defendants conspired to change the results of the presidential election. illegally cancel.

Despite three criminal charges prior to the one in Georgia, the mugshot released Thursday was the first. And Trump proudly praised it.
Trump’s indictments don’t suspend his supporters, and most seem to rally around the ex-president at any threatening indictment.
“Roomer (sic) is strong in political circles where Ron DeSanctimonious, whose presidential run is a mess, and whose polls have absolutely crashed, leaving him third and fourth in some states, will withdraw from the presidential race to to nominate. , in Florida, against Rick Scott for the Senate. He later deleted the message and posted an almost identical message with no typos and errors.

While Trump still maintained a massive 38 percent lead over second-place DeSantis, Trump saw a 6 percent dip in the national polls after deciding not to debate.
DeSantis, and a few other candidates, saw a small rise in the polls after Wednesday’s first Republican debate, which Trump skipped. But as he is still 38 points behind the ex-president, Trump claims DeSantis will run against incumbent Florida Senator Rick Scott in 2026.

Trump also lashed out at “crook” Joe Biden on Truth Social — appearing to boast that he was impeached and acquitted in the Senate while Republicans in the House of Representatives considered an impeachment inquiry against the president
An Emerson College Poll released Monday shows Trump has fallen from 56 percent before the debate to 50 percent after the match between eight of his Republican candidates. DeSantis saw a small two-point increase, while former UN ambassador Nikki Haley saw the biggest gain, rising five points after a strong debate performance.
Trump attempted to steal the spotlight by airing an interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson at the same time as the debate. The day after the debate, he also turned himself in in Georgia.
Meanwhile, as Republicans ponder opening an impeachment inquiry against President Biden once the recess is over and sessions resume in the fall, Trump appeared to boast that he was impeached but won.
“I HAVE NEVER HAD AN IMPULSE INVESTIGATION, I’VE HAD AN IMPULSE, WHICH I WON!” Trump posted in his capital tirade style. “IT WAS STARTED DIRECTLY, NO MEETINGS, NO STUDY, NO DELAYS.”
“THE CRAZY FASCHISTS (sic) & MARXISTS PLAY THE GAME DIFFERENTLY,” he continued in the post. “They are out to destroy AMERICA. MAGA!’
