Trump breaks the one promise he made before his convention speech and reveals the two things he would do on the first day in the White House

Donald Trump promised ahead of his RNC speech that he wouldn’t mention Joe Biden by name, but the former president couldn’t resist criticizing the current president on Thursday night.

During the Republican presidential candidate’s lengthy speech, he almost kept his word.

But after recounting his near-murder attempt, in which he criticized “open borders” and demands for electric vehicles, he decided to take a chance.

“If you take the 10 worst presidents in the history of the United States, remember that they are the 10 worst presidents, and add them up, they have not done the damage that Biden has done.”

Trump continued: “I’m only going to use the term one time, Biden. I’m not going to use the name again, but only one time.”

Trump not only said Biden’s name, he said it twice.

He later referred to Biden as a “person” and, more vaguely, as the White House.

While Trump broke one or two promises, depending on who’s counting, he promised in no uncertain terms to enact two major policies on Day One.

The most urgent action he would take is to invoke executive action to stem the flow of migrants entering the U.S. illegally.

He said — and government statistics show — that the flow of illegal migrants has broken records and now he’s promising to tackle it, similar to his 2016 pledge to “build that wall.”

“At the heart of the Republican platform is our promise to end this border nightmare and fully restore the sacred and sovereign borders of the United States of America,” he told the adoring crowd of conservatives.

“And that’s what we’re going to do on the first day,” he added, to a standing ovation.

But that wasn’t his only promise on the first day.

“I will end the electric vehicle mandate on day one,” he said, drawing further cheers.

“In doing so, we will save the American auto industry from the complete destruction that is now underway.”

“And American customers save thousands and thousands of euros per car.”

He criticized the United Auto Workers union for its role in the decline of American auto manufacturing.

“They should be ashamed of themselves… and the leader of the United Auto Workers should be fired immediately.”

Trump also accused the union of playing a role in expanding auto production capacity from China to factories in Mexico, in a move he said was a plan to undermine U.S. automakers.

“We are going to restart auto production, and we are going to do it as quickly as possible,” the former president said, drawing loud cheers of support.
