Trump breaks silence on son Barron’s college dating life as Melania’s special nickname for him is revealed

Donald Trump revealed a rare piece of deeply personal information about his son Barron after a podcaster inquired about his son’s dating life.

Trump, who routinely recites only a few anodyne facts when asked about his 18-year-old son with former first lady Melania Trump, asked the question in a televised appearance. PBD podcast with interviewer Patrick Bet-David.

β€œIs he good with the ladies at school at NYU? Is he there yet?’ the interviewer asked.

Instead of dodging it, Trump gave a direct answer.

β€œNo, I’m not sure if he β€” I don’t think he’s had a girlfriend yet,” Trump revealed. ‘I don’t think so. Every now and then…” he said, before ending the thought in a quick conversation.

β€œHe looks good,” Trump added of his towering 6-foot-2 son.

The exchange came after Bet-David, 45, described his own previous visit to Mar-a-Lago in March, around Barron’s 18th birthday.

He described admiring his social fluency. β€œHe had just turned 18 and I’m watching him talk to Kobe, with all the other guys sitting at the table. And I’m like, very interesting,” he said.

He then revealed what Barron’s mother calls her son β€” in yet another revelation from the chat, in a politically safe space where MAGA members Kari Lake and Sebastian Gorka have appeared and signed a background space.

β€œAnd I know you – Melania, I think he called him ‘Little Donald.’ I think, if I’m not mistaken, she gave him that nickname.”

Trump did not confirm or deny the claim, but instead responded with a joke.

β€œHe’s not that short because he’s a pretty tall guy,” Trump joked.

Trump and Melania did their best to protect Barron from the public while he was in grade school during Trump’s term in office. Since he turned 18, he has become increasingly vocal, although he did not appear at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

Bet-David brought up an old Trump quote about his son when he was just ten months old. β€œHe’s strong, he’s smart, he’s tough, he’s cruel, he’s violent: all the ingredients you need to be an entrepreneur,” Trump put it at the time.

Trump responded with something about his son’s height and intellect, before the host turned to dating.

‘He’s very smart. He’s a good student and all. He goes to a great school and is doing very well. And he’s a very nice guy. You can see that.’

β€œHe doesn’t mind being alone, but he’s someone who gets along well with people,” Trump said.

Bet-David, who spent some time with Barron, said, β€œHe’s got the swagger. He’s a good troller. He’s funny. He’s witty.’

It is only the last time that Trump has revealed personal family information this election season. Days ago, he dropped a baby bombshell in front of a Detroit audience, revealing that daughter Tiffany Trump is pregnant.

Trump’s comments come after a TikToker claimed she went to private school with Barron and that he was her first boyfriend.

The questions about family came more than an hour after an interview in which Trump attacked Kamala Harris and Barack Obama and again tried to raise questions about his rival’s racial identity.
