Trump is allowed to go to Barron’s high school graduation after he ripped judge for warning he may be stuck in the Stormy Daniels hush money trial

  • Former President Donald Trump may attend Barron’s graduation ceremony
  • Judge Juan Merchan made the announcement on Tuesday
  • Trump previously grumbled that he might not be able to attend the May 17 event

Former President Donald Trump received the green light Tuesday from the judge presiding over the hush money trial of Stormy Daniels to attend his son Barron’s graduation next month.

The former president complained on the first day of the trial that Judge Juan Merchan might ban him from seeing 18-year-old Barron receive his diploma.

An angry Trump said: “It looks like the judge won’t let me go to the graduation of my son, who has worked very, very hard.”

“He’s a great student and he’s very proud of the fact that he’s done so well and had been looking forward to getting his degree for years with his mom and dad there, and it seems like the judge isn’t telling me this scam will let you get away β€œIt’s a scam,” Trump said earlier this month.

However, on Tuesday Merchan said: ‘I don’t think the May 17 date is a problem. Mr. Trump can attend that date and attend his son’s graduation ceremony.”

It came as Trump was fined $9,000 for social media posts that Merchan said violated the court’s silence order.

As a criminal defendant in the Manhattan case, Trump is required to appear in court every day.

The test is carried out every week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

This week, court did not take place on Monday due to the Jewish holiday of Passover.

Tuesday’s procedure marked the start of week three.

Barron will graduate from Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, Florida, on Friday, May 17, when Barron, Melania and the former president moved to Mar-a-Lago after Trump left the White House in January 2021.

He previously attended St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, Maryland, during the four years his father was in the White House.

The 18-year-old is Trump’s only child with his third wife Melania.

And as the youngest child, and a minor during Trump’s time in office, he was largely kept out of the public eye β€” while his half-siblings Donald Trump Jr., Eric, Ivanka and Tiffany played more prominent and political roles.

Trump attorney Alina Habba echoed her client’s frustration over potentially missing Barron’s graduation ceremony earlier this month.

β€œYou won’t even allow a father β€” let alone a former president β€” but a father to attend his son’s graduation ceremony?” Habba said in an interview, β€œIt’s just a sad state of affairs for the American people. I can assure you of that.’

Stephanie Grisham, Melania Trump’s former chief of staff and communications director, told DailyMail.com earlier this month that she’s guessing the former first lady “wasn’t happy” that Trump made a stink about potentially missing Barron’s big day.

β€œHe talked about missing Barron’s graduation in front of the cameras and then again on Truth Social because it got a lot of attention about that and it just wasn’t something she would have enjoyed,” Grisham said.

‘No reason to put such a happy event in such new stories, which will follow their son everywhere. β€œI thought it was incredibly selfish of him to use Barron in that way,” the ex-employee said.

Grisham resigned during the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol and subsequently wrote a story about her time in the Trump administration.
