Barron Trump towers over secret service detail as Donald’s 6-foot-9 son begins classes at NYU and faces professors who called his dad a ‘threat’
Barron Trump was spotted during his first days on campus at NYU, after the school’s interim dean was reported to have called his father a “threat” to the United States.
Former President Donald Trump told DailyMail.com last week that his youngest son will attend the Stern School of Business if he moves in with them.
JP Eggers, interim dean of the Stern School, was one of 1,400 signatories to a letter titled “It’s Time for America’s Business Leaders to Speak Out Against the Threat Trump Poses to Our Republic.”
The letter, written in October 2020, states that it is “unacceptable and immoral to remain silent” about how Trump is “unfit to lead and a threat to the Republic.”
The letter was drafted by Harvard Business School professor Deepak Malhotra and signed by 21 different NYU Stern faculty members.
“It is time for our corporate leaders to show the moral courage and civic responsibility that they have long professed, and that others have already shown. It is time to sound the alarm.”

Dolly Chugh, Nate Pettit, Ashish Bhatia, Alison Taylor, Chris van Bergen, Maria M. Patterson, Susan J Stehlik, Aline Wolff, Michael Posner, Robb W. Shoaf, Rex W. Mixon, Jr., Diane Lennard, Jared Watson, Taylor Phillips, Linyun Yang, Geeta Menon, Tensie Whelan, Robert Wosnitzer, Jeffrey Younger, and Elyse Douglas joined Eggers as employees of the school that signed the letter at that time.
In May, Eggers was scheduled to be appointed interim dean of the acclaimed business school, effective July 1.
Since July 2008 he has been working as a professor of management and organizations.
From 2018 to 2024 he was Vice Dean for MBA and Master’s programs.
DailyMail.com has contacted the Stern School of Business for comment.
Trump, who will debate Kamala Harris for the first time tonight in Philadelphia ahead of the November election, was pleased with his son’s acceptance last week.
“He got into a lot of colleges,” a proud Donald Trump said.
“He’s a very smart kid and he goes to Stern, the business school, a great school at NYU.”
Former President Donald Trump told DailyMail.com last week that his youngest son will become a student at the Stern School of Business while he comes to live in the country.
Stern is one of America’s top business schools with a highly selective undergraduate program: only 1 in 20 applicants graduate.
Barron, 18, is the youngest son of the former president and his wife Melania. He graduated from the prestigious Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach in May.
Trump said his son considered following in his father’s footsteps and attending the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, but ultimately chose NY.U.
“It’s a very high quality place. He liked it. He liked the school,” Trump told DailyMail.com.
“We liked NYU. I’ve known about NYU for a long time, but it’s one of the most highly regarded…
‘I went to Wharton, and that was definitely one we considered. We didn’t.
‘We went for Stern.
“He’s a child with very high potential, but he’s not a child anymore. He’s just moved on to something beyond being a child. He’s doing great.”

And Trump said his son planned to continue playing soccer in college. He is known as an avid athlete and has played for one of the youth teams of MLS side DC United.
NYU’s campus is not far from Trump Tower in Manhattan, where Barron spent much of his childhood before his father became president.
Stern’s bachelor’s program is highly selective: only one in twenty applicants makes it to the finish line.
Notable alumni include Alan Greenspan, former chairman of the Federal Reserve, and Kenneth Langone, founder and financier of Home Depot.
Trump later spoke candidly with DailyMail.com about how Barron has become a crucial part of his campaign as he connects with Gen Z voters through influencers and podcasters.
“He knows so much about it,” Trump said during an interview last week at his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida.
“Adin Ross, you know, I mean, I know some people I didn’t know that well, another generation. He knows them all. And we’ve had tremendous success.”
The livestream with Ross was filmed at Mar-a-Lago and at its peak had more than 580,000 live viewers, making it the third most concurrently watched stream on the Kick platform this year.
However, he also described that his family had paid a high price for their public appearance.
