Allies and supporters of newly elected President Donald Trump expressed shock and outrage over a “woke” post from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
The ministry, soon to be led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. if he is confirmed by the Senate, wished the people a happy ‘Pansexual and Panromantic Pride Day’.
The message on X read: ‘Today, on Pansexual and Panromantic Pride Day, everyone deserves to feel seen, respected and supported – no matter who they love. Create a world where everyone is proud to be themselves!’
Within hours, the post racked up thousands more mocking comments than likes and caught the attention of key figures in Trump’s inner circle.
Stephen Miller, Trump’s senior adviser throughout Trump’s first term, had a simple message for the people behind HHS’s social media post.
“In 43 days, sanity will return to HHS,” wrote Miller, who is making a comeback in the next Trump administration as his homeland security adviser and deputy chief of staff for policy in the White House.
Republican Senator-elect Jim Banks of Indiana, who has been a staunch supporter of Trump, shared similar sentiments as Miller.
‘Glad that this kind of bull*** will stop on January 20! I can’t come fast enough,” Banks replied to the HHS post.

Banks served as Indiana’s 3rd District representative since 2017 before running for Senate in 2024. The seat was vacated by Mike Braun, who ran for governor of Indiana this cycle and won.
Allie Beth Stuckey, a conservative commentator at BlazeTV, also took aim at Joe Biden’s HHS, writing, “I can’t wait for this degenerate embarrassment of an administration to end.”
Daily Wire host Matt Walsh, behind the documentaries “What Is a Woman” and more recently “Am I Racist?”, was another prominent person to respond.
“Counterpoint: People who describe themselves as ‘pansexual’ or ‘panromantic’ do not deserve to be seen, respected or supported,” he wrote.

Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, the joint heads of the Department of Government Efficiency, arrive at the U.S. Capitol on Thursday to meet with House Speaker Mike Johnson
Trump enlisted both men to “dismantle” America’s bloated $6.5 trillion bureaucracy by leading the newly created DOGE last month.
They plan to reduce wasteful regulation and spending by specifically targeting the number of federal government employees.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson, who has been close to Trump since the election, met with Musk and Ramaswamy in an official capacity on Thursday to determine exactly how DOGE will carry out its mandate.
Musk has said he wants to cut $2 trillion in government spending and has floated a plan to spend $500 billion on spending not approved by Congress. The exact cuts that DOGE will recommend to Congress are still unclear.
