A Trump administration official is seriously ill after being shot during a carjacking in crime-ridden Washington DC, whose perpetrator then killed another victim.
Mike Gill, a married father of three, was shot by the unnamed suspect on K Street NW on Monday around 5:45 p.m. He was picking up his wife, an education attorney, at the time of the incident and was in the car when he was struck.
Gill managed to get out of his car but collapsed shortly afterwards.
He was Chief Operating Officer of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission during Donald Trump’s stay in the White House Daily thread reported.

A spokeswoman for Gill said, “We can confirm that Mike Gill was the victim of the shooting on the 900 block of K Street Northwest on Monday evening and is in critical condition.
“Out of respect for the family, we have nothing more to add at this time.”
The same suspect then allegedly shot and killed the owner of a Chrysler 200 before stealing the car.
Police officers in New Carrollton, Maryland, a DC suburb, shot and killed the suspect this morning. He has not yet been named, Fox5DC reports.
