Trouble in radio paradise? Newly-minted $200million radio star Kyle Sandilands storms out of the studio after a huge argument with co-host Jackie O Henderson
He is the radio titan known for his flair and direct approach.
But on Tuesday, Kyle Sandilands left his popular breakfast radio show after a row with his co-host Jackie O Henderson.
Kyle, 52, left the studios furious after clashing with Jackie O, 48, while discussing rising coronavirus cases live on air.
The row came after Kyle revealed NSW Premier Chris Minns had canceled his studio appearance after testing positive for Covid-19.
Jackie O informed Kyle that the rules around isolation have changed because the virus is “just like the flu.”

Kyle then told Jackie O that she would probably still isolate if she had the virus, as she had been extremely cautious in the past.
“I’m allowed to change my mind,” said a frustrated Jackie O.
An unimpressed Kyle then stormed out of the studio just 11 minutes after the show started.
“Well, that escalated quickly,” Jackie O said.
Executive producer Pedro Vitola subsequently confirmed that Kyle had left the studio and gone home.
Jackie continued, “What’s happening today? I tell you this full moon is confusing people.”
It is unclear whether Jackie went home as well, as the show has been airing reruns of old segments ever since.

The bizarre incident comes less than a week after the Sydney-based radio duo signed a record $200 million, 10-year contract live on air.
This means the duo will dominate markets beyond their Sydney-based audience and expand their reach Melbourne For the first time.
An ARN spokesperson confirmed to Ny Breaking Australia that the deal means Kyle and Jackie’s KIIS FM work friends Jase Hawkins and Lauren Phillips will be out of a job and their Melbourne breakfast show will end in December.
Lauren broke down in tears as she announced the news to her listeners on Wednesday, sobbing that she “didn’t want to say goodbye to Melbourne”.

Jase and Lauren’s show was successful for KIIS FM, attracting new listeners to the station and ranking third in the Melbourne market behind Fox FM’s Fifi Fev & Nick and GOLD104.3’s Christian O’Connell.
In a statement celebrating the historic contract extension, Sandilands said: “Fans of the show will be pleased to hear that this 10-year deal is the longest radio deal in Australian history.”
“Love us or loathe us, Jackie and I will continue with our politically incorrect nonsense for a long time.”
He added: “We would like to thank the listeners. Staff. All clients. Even senior management, I’ll give a nod to that. They’ve actually done something brilliant.’
