Tristan Thompson ‘settles paternity case’ with Maralee Nichols and ‘will pay $9,500’ in support

Tristan Thompson has reached a settlement in his ongoing paternity case with Maralee Nichols.

The parents of one-year-old Theo have reached an agreement in which the 31-year-old NBA player will pay $9,500 a month in child support, as he currently has no contract with any team and earns no income.

Last year, Thompson conceived a child with Nichols while in a relationship with the reality star. khloe kardashian38 – with whom he shares two children.

Sources revealed to TMZ that Nichols was awarded sole custody of their son, but they have not yet worked out a visitation schedule.

The former Chicago Bulls player also partially covered his baby’s mother’s legal fees during the settlement case and will now be officially named as the father on the birth certificate.

Experts revealed that the paternity settlement agreement will be filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday.

Later, Khloe, who already shared True, four, with Thompson, revealed in the second season of The Kardashians the hulu that they were expecting a baby together via surrogacy at the time of the revelation of his ongoing infidelity.

The former couple had successfully conceived a child via IVF in November 2021, just weeks before the birth of Thompson and Nichols’ son.

In the months leading up to their baby’s birth, Thompson and Nichols were involved in a months-long legal paternal battle over whether he was really Theo’s biological father.

Multiple mothers of babies: Last year, Thompson conceived a son with Nichols while in a relationship with reality star Khloe Kardashian, 38, with whom he shares two children.

When Nichols gave birth to Theo in December 2021, she sued Thompson for child support, claiming he allegedly offered her $75,000 in exchange for her silence.

DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that Thompson had filed an emergency petition and essentially a gag order to silence Nichols.

A June 2022 episode of The Kardashians showed the Good American founder discovering Thompson’s repeated infidelity when the lawsuit went public in December 2021.

In an emotional confessional, Khloe said in the episode: “I found out what Tristan is doing with the rest of the world.”

“It would be a courtesy not to,” he continued. ‘But if you do, aren’t you even going to let me know before the rest of the world? It’s just an extra slap in my face.

In January of this year, Thompson came clean after a paternity test identified him as Theo’s biological father and took to social media to publicly apologize to Khloe.

In an Instagram Story, Thompson wrote: “Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son.” ”.

He turned to Khloe and continued: ‘You don’t deserve the pain and humiliation I’ve caused you. You don’t deserve the way I’ve treated you over the years.

‘My actions have certainly not aligned with the way I see you. I have the greatest respect and love for you,” she said.

That same month, experts revealed that although Thompson had paid some child support, she “made no attempt” to meet her eight-month-old son with Nichols.

Two months earlier, a rep for Khloe confirmed that the couple was pregnant, but noted that they were not in a relationship and had not spoken since December of the previous year outside of co-parenting communications only.
