Tristan Thompson close to settling with Maralee Nichols over child support for nine-month-old Theo

Tristan Thompson and Maralee Nichols are close to a settlement in their bitter battle over child support for their nine-month-old ‘love child’ Theo.

In court documents obtained solely by DailyMail.com, Thompson, 31, and Nichols, 32, have requested that a hearing scheduled for Oct. 7 be moved to Dec. 7.

‘The parties will attend a second mediation day on 7 October, one of the few dates available on everyone’s agenda.

“The hope is that the parties will reach a settlement, but we need a second day to finalize the disputed issues,” the documents said.

In August, it was revealed that Thompson was paying Nichols’ child support for their son Theo amid their family lawsuit.

“The basketball player, 31,” is “paying and has paid alimony to Ms Nichols backdated to the date she gave birth to the child,” a Thompson attorney told Page Six.

Although the NBA star – who recently welcomed a son with Khloé Kardashian via surrogate – has ramped up financially, he still hasn’t met his baby boy.

“Tristan still hasn’t made an effort to get his… [9-month-old] son, Theo. Only recently did Tristan start paying alimony,” an insider told the publication.

Earlier this year, a Nichols representative – who gave birth to Theo on December 1, 2021 – said in a statement that Thompson had “done nothing” and provided no “financial assistance.”

But apparently the Canadian star has since repaid the money owed.

Last year, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that love rat Tristan would become a father for the third time after Nichols decided to sue the athlete for child support and for reimbursement of medical and pregnancy-related expenses.

Thompson insisted that his beloved personal trainer have an abortion and offered her $75,000 to hush money after she became pregnant with his child while he was still dating Khloé, the court claims.

According to bombshell documents, the baby was conceived in Houston, Texas, during Thompson’s 30th birthday in March 2021 when he was dating Khloé, with whom he shares a four-year-old daughter and now a surrogate son.

Houston native, Nichols moved to Los Angeles and sued the athlete for child support and for reimbursement of medical and pregnancy-related expenses.

In a copy of a shocking text message from Radar, Thompson allegedly offered Nichols $75,000 to remain silent and warned that he would be retiring after this NBA season and would therefore be unemployed.

He made it clear that he had no intention of being involved in the child’s life.

In a statement included in the paternity case, Thompson admits to having sex with Nichols several times at a hotel after the couple attended a party together.

He described in the documents how Nichols drove him to the event in her Maserati sports car before returning to his hotel where she had “a special birthday surprise” for him – which he admitted he knew would be sex.

Thompson claims that night was the only time he was intimate with Nichols — a version of events hotly disputed by her lawyers, who say the affair started at least “five months” before his 30th birthday, involving Nichols in multiple ways. traveled to California. occasions, and continued after she became pregnant.

Thompson denied being the father until DNA test results proved otherwise, after which he took to Instagram with a statement apologizing to Khloé.

“Today the paternity test results show that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to raising our son amicably.”

“Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the grief and humiliation I inflicted on you. You don’t deserve the way I’ve treated you over the years,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Khloé, who divorced Tristan again in January, is said to be over the moon “nine” weeks after the birth of the couple’s second child.
