Triplets who were forced to wait 18 YEARS to discover their birth order finally learn the truth – and their reactions are hilarious

  • Janie Hilbert took to TikTok earlier this month to share the moment of truth
  • Their parents had kept their birth order a secret until the milestone birthday
  • Janie and her brothers were all very expressive after discovering the results

Triplets who had to wait until their 18th birthday to discover their birth order finally found out the truth – and their reactions were hilarious.

Janie Hilbert took over TikTok to share the moment she – along with brothers Wright and Luke – discovered who was officially the eldest, youngest and middle child.

Their parents had decided to keep their birth order a secret until their milestone birthday, despite the trio ‘begging’ to know.

Janie and her siblings were all very expressive after discovering the results, but admitted it didn’t change their bond.

In the clip, which has been viewed more than 20 million times to date, all three siblings sat in front of the camera as the news was relayed.

It was captioned: “POV, you’re a triplet and your parents waited to tell you the birth order until you were 18.”

There was no audio on the video to hear the order being revealed, but Janie, Wright and Luke were all very expressive.

Their jaws dropped before they covered their mouths and placed their hands on their heads in apparent disbelief.

Fortunately, the insight ended with the trio enjoying a healthy embrace together.

Parents Stewart and Clay have since shared Today that they decided to keep the birth order secret because of eldest son Clayton, who was three years old when the triplets were born.

Stewart described him as “a rule follower and very literal,” who would definitely try to implement an “eldest gets the bottle first” regimen once the babies were born.

And so she and Clay decided to keep the order a mystery.

β€œWe just didn’t want to play his game and we were like, let’s just keep it a secret. It will be fun.

“They don’t have to subscribe to the stereotypes of oldest, middle, youngest, things like that.”

Clay added: β€œThe very first time I was asked, I almost told the order. Still, it was a brilliant idea. Looking back, it was a lot of fun.”

The kids’ curiosity grew over time as they started pestering their parents about birth order, but Stewart teased, “They wanted to make sure, and that made it even more fun.”

Janie recalled how the trio had “begged and begged” but had no luck.

After the widespread furor caused by her first video, Janie later shared a follow-up clip to reveal the order.

That clip, which has itself been viewed 2.3 million times, revealed Wright to be the oldest, followed by Luke and then Janie.

Janie admitted, β€œI didn’t want to be the youngest. That’s all I was really hoping for. I wouldn’t have waited eighteen years to be the youngest, and here we are.”

Nevertheless, the revelation hasn’t changed anything for the siblings.

β€œWe all just have a bond. Really and truly. Our relationship with each other is very special.

“I don’t think much has really changed, but it was interesting to think back to our childhood and think about whether we just naturally took on those roles,” Janie said.
