Footy fans hit AFL star Darcy Moore’s feminist Triple J host girlfriend with savage insult and say she has ‘captured his gonads’ – and she hits back with classy response

Triple J presenter Dee Salmin has delivered a classy response to the hurtful social media troll who criticized her relationship with AFL star Darcy Moore.

The Sunday Hook Up host shared on Instagram a photo of her and Darcy, 28, attending the Brownlow Medal ceremony in Melbourne on Wednesday, along with a public comment she received from the troll.

“Darcy has money, fame and football skills, but traded his gonads to a feminist witch,” the troll wrote.

Dee played a cover of the 1972 Eagles classic Witchy Woman above her post and captioned it with a few stylish words, saying she “immortalized” it as “the greatest compliment I’ve ever received.”

Many of Dee’s gym friends quickly took to the comments section to congratulate her on her brave post.

“Alpha move,” wrote Bulldogs player Cody Weightman. AFLW star Georgie Parker added: “I DREAM of being called a feminist witch. Go queen!’

In July, Darcy and Dee’s living arrangements became the talk of the AFL, with fans calling the Collingwood skipper ‘woke’ and blaming his unorthodox relationship for a dip in form.

Salmin raised eyebrows when she revealed on a podcast why they don’t live together.

Many fans said Salmin’s long-winded explanation of why they’re living apart — complete with feminist buzzwords and therapy speak — made their eyes roll.

‘I currently don’t live with my partner. We have such different, independent, busy lives,” Salmin said.

“We get so much of what we had when we were single in our relationship.

‘But I wonder how much you can actually maintain that if you eventually move in together. It is largely heterodynamically learned behavior that you can end up in.’

The Sunday Hook Up host shared on Instagram a photo of her and Darcy, 28, attending the Brownlow Medal ceremony in Melbourne last month, along with a public comment she received from the troll.

Her statement about ‘heterodynamic learned behavior’ caused a storm on social media.

Collingwood loyalists had mixed reactions, with some even linking Salmin’s comments to Moore’s performance problems. Others simply found Salmin’s interview confusing due to her use of progressive terminology.

Moore and Salmin first sparked rumors they were dating when they were pictured holding hands at the opening night of Melbourne’s Moulin Rouge in October 2023 last August.

They later confirmed their romance by hitting the red carpet together at several exclusive A-List events.
