Trinny London microneedling: Trinny Woodall launches a surprising ‘secret weapon’ beauty gadget in Australia to tackle wrinkles and make you glow
Trinny Woodall has added a microneedling to her hugely successful skincare empire Trinny London.
The British fashion and beauty entrepreneur has long raved about her love for the gadgets, which are known to transform skin texture and improve product absorption through tiny, painless holes.
The collagen stimulating device stimulates the skin’s natural healing process through the use of 540 0.5mm stainless steel needles used over the skin.
Trinny, who uses her microneedle everywhere from airplanes to cars, said she knew it was time to launch the $84 Plump Up Microneedle because she’s tried so many and “knows what works.”
“It’s something I’ve always had in my skincare routine: you can double the effectiveness of your existing skincare and help reduce fine lines and wrinkles,” Trinny told FEMAIL.

The British fashion and beauty entrepreneur has long raved about her love for the gadgets, which are known to transform skin texture and improve product absorption through tiny, painless holes.
The 59-year-old, who credits her effortless glow to a consistent skincare routine, regular treatments, adequate sleep and supplements, uses her microneedling one to three times a week.
‘You could start with twice a week. I usually do it on Sunday evenings. It should always be used in the evening and then you can build it up,” she said.
‘I cleanse my skin as normal. I have my PHA (exfoliating) and then I microneedle. I then apply on these evenings Chubby up because although it is a very intense serum, it does not contain any ingredients that will aggravate your skin because you have created small channels that allow the formulation to go deeper.’
Trinny said she wouldn’t use vitamin C with the gadget and would instead opt for something that “well nourishes the skin,” such as Chubby up with hydrating hyaluronic acid and powerful peptides.
‘I use light feathering motions, making sure to cover every part of my face. I don’t drag the needle around when I use it, I mainly buff my skin,” Trinny said. ‘Don’t forget the neck and décolleté as these are the areas we don’t often take care of in our routine.’

Continuous use of the gadget leads to a significant reduction in wrinkle depth and fine lines
‘Literally the next day you notice a difference in your skin and a fuller feeling returns; in some way you damage your skin so that it reacts. And we really need that process, because when we reach our thirties, we stop producing collagen.’
‘Collagen actually only occurs when your skin is damaged to a certain extent and a microneedle affects your skin at a very small level. So the response is to stimulate more collagen.”
Trinny said her microneedling is safe and one of the best on the market.
‘We have a protocol around our needle that is just as important as the needle itself. So if you follow it, you will know how often you use it and how often you change the needles,” she said.
‘Our entire training is designed to help you with this, so that it becomes a completely different microneedling; it becomes one that you actually use and rely on, and therefore has an effective place in your skin care routine. It is awesome.’
The Plump Up Microneedle will be available in Australia and internationally on Wednesday, October 4. The price is $84 for the gadget, $15 for a cleaning spray and $46 for replacement heads.
