The call, released Thursday by the Legal matters and lawsuits, is the latest development between Bauer and Hill, who both admit to having two sexual encounters in the spring of 2021. But while Hill says she agreed to have sex with Bauer, she claims he went overboard in trying to beating her, choking her unconscious, and sodomizing her without her consent. In 2021, she was denied a permanent restraining order and Bauer was never charged.

The pitcher, who maintains his innocence, was suspended for 194 games by Major League Baseball. At the end of his suspension, Bauer was released by the Los Angeles Dodgers in January and recently completed his first season pitching in Japan. He is set to become a free agent, but it is unclear whether major league teams will be interested in bringing him back to North America.

The recording has not previously been heard publicly because the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office declined to file charges against Bauer.

In response to the release of the call, Bauer’s lawyers Jon Fetterolf and Shawn Holley issued a statement to Mail Sport.

The legal resolution between the two allowed Bauer to comment on the case, prompting him to release his version of events in a video shared on X on Monday.

An alleged text message sent by Hill to a friend that Bauer revealed to the public reads: “Next victim. Star pitcher for the Dodgers.”

Although Hill acknowledged that “victim” was not the right choice of word, she claimed that she used it in a way where she was joking, especially because of her history of dating baseball players.

“This was exactly what Trevor wanted to do: randomly pick three or four lines and turn them into a story where I just look terrible,” she said on “Prime Time with Alex Stein.”

“I explained that in my statement and random things. I like to joke, I am very sarcastic, sometimes inappropriate. Anyone who knows me would know that.

Bauer also shared a video following the alleged sexual assault incident in 2021, in which Hill laughs without apparently suffering any bruises.

However, Hill claims to have been going through a whirlwind of emotions at the time and that she recorded the video to send to her cousin to show that everything was fine.

She even went so far as to say she wasn’t sure she would ever be able to say anything about the alleged encounter, adding that the lack of bruises on her body has to do with the timing of the video. It usually takes several days for bruises to appear.

“Any normal person can see that bruises take time,” Hill said. She also claimed to be in possession of selfies from that time that clearly indicate physical injuries.
