Trevoh Chalobah feels he is being sent packing at Chelsea after being left out of the squad that was due to travel to the United States, with the club likely to sell their own centre-back this summer.
The 25-year-old has stayed home, while Wesley Fofana, Axel Disasi, Tosin Adarabioyo, Benoit Badiashile and Levi Colwill are among the defensive options playing in the United States.
Chalobah trained at Cobham under new head coach Enzo Maresca.
The club has a lot of respect for Chalobah because of his long association with the club, he joined when he was eight years old.
But there is plenty of competition for the places in central defence and while his disappointment was taken into account, the club based its decision purely on sporting qualities.

Nottingham Forest have previously shown interest in Chalobah, who is expected to attract attention across the Premier League.
The former England youth player, who has a contract until 2028, played a key role towards the end of Chelsea’s final season under Mauricio Pochettino after returning from injury.
Alfie Gilchrist is another defender staying at home and the 20-year-old is expected to leave on loan this summer.
