Trent Alexander-Arnold suffered a serious scare while driving on Friday when a 40-foot electricity pylon crashed into a car in front of the Liverpool star’s Range Rover as he was driving in 70mph winds, as reported by the sun.
The 25-year-old was driving on a wet rural road near Knutsford, Cheshire, when he had to swerve to avoid the high-voltage motorbike and collided with a BMW X5.
It was a near miss for Alexander-Arnold as the electricity pylon lay demolished on the bank of the road, while the massive infrastructure could cause serious damage if it had fallen on the footballer’s luxury vehicle.
The high-voltage cable, which weighs half a ton, rolled over the other vehicle at the scene, with Alexander-Arnold and the BMW driver fortunately escaping the incident unscathed.
However, the England international was reportedly left shaken by an incident, with a witness explaining that it was a shock that no one had been killed in the surprise rural accident caused by the devastating Storm Babet that swept across the country.

Alexander-Arnold got out of his Range Rover after crashing into the side of the BMW and checked the other road user to make sure everything was okay.
His vehicle was still seriously damaged by the crash which left the £90,000 black Range Rover destroyed and missing pieces of the left front bumper, while the headlight was also destroyed.
Electrical wires from the hood of the vehicle are visible through the remains of the destroyed bumper, while parts of the car are barely hanging due to the impact.
Meanwhile, the white BMW is missing a headlight that lies across the center of the road, while the left front wheel sits on its rim and a huge crack in the side of the bodywork is visible.
Police were called to the scene in the morning hours on Friday and the electricity supply running through the huge mast was switched off.
Alexander-Arnold was later involved in team training with Liverpool ahead of Saturday’s Merseyside derby match against Everton at Anfield, where he is expected to start.
Chesire Police later issued a statement explaining: ‘This morning at 10.34am we were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a black Range Rover and a BMW.
“An electricity pole had fallen in the road and that caused the accident.
‘No one was injured and everything was cleared by 1.05pm. We called the power company and had the electricity turned off.’
