Travis Kelce may soon need the key to one of Taylor Swift’s many homes, after 49ers star George Kittle hilariously texted him from a Rhode Island wedding asking if he could use the pop star’s bathroom.
Kittle, who played in San Francisco’s Super Bowl loss to Kelce’s Chiefs earlier this year, was a guest on The Rich Eisen Show on Wednesday, where he was asked if any tight ends in the NFL had asked Kelce for tickets to Swift’s “Eras” Tour.
Kittle instead brought up his teammate Christian McAffrey’s wedding to model Olivia Culpo in the northeastern state. He also gave a sneak peek at NFL on Fox commentator Greg Olsen, who was also in attendance at the nuptials. A viral photo of him looking raucous with the bride and groom went viral.
“So we’re in Rhode Island for the wedding. Like right next to where we were staying was Taylor Swift’s house. Like her house in Rhode Island,” Kittle told Eisen at one point.
“And I texted Travis, I was like, ‘Hey, I need to use the bathroom, do you mind?’ Did Taylor leave a key somewhere? He was like, you can try to get in, but I think security will get you out of there. I was like, yeah, okay, I’m not going to try that.”

Kelce and Kittle are known for not being all that close. Last month, they were seen at a bar in Nashville. They’ve also been running a three-a-day football program together since 2021, teaching them everything they need to know about the tight end position, called “Tight End University.”
Perhaps their bond grew stronger around Super Bowl LVIII, which the 49ers narrowly lost to the Chiefs (25-22), when Kittle cheered on Kelce in front of reporters.
“I’m a huge fan of Travis Kelce and the fact that I got to be friends with him, work with him, run Tight End (University) with him and just get to know him, it’s been awesome,” Kittle said at the time.
“For someone I looked up to, watched his game, watched so much of his film. Everything he says about you is nice; that feels great.”

He added: [Travis is] a great football player. He’s probably a first-ballot Hall of Famer. So, anything you can get from Travis Kelce is great. And the fact that you guys are friends, it makes it a little sweeter.”
Like Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl winner, Kittle is also likely to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, despite currently lacking rings to go along with his five Pro Bowl and two First-Team All-Pro nods. The duo are unquestionably considered the best tight ends of their generation.
Kittle, however, will get a chance to exact revenge on Kelce when the 49ers host the Chiefs in the first game between the two teams since the Super Bowl on Oct. 20.
