Travis Kelce’s ‘Happy Gilmore’ role is revealed as he appears in trailer for Adam Sandler sequel
Travis Kelce’s role in the upcoming ‘Happy Gilmore’ sequel has been revealed, as Adam Sandler shared a trailer for Wednesday’s movie.
The film, which follows the 1996 comedy classic, will be released on Netflix in 2025.
And a first look at Kelce’s character was shared on Christmas Day, when the Chiefs tight end appeared in the trailer alongside music star Bad Bunny and “Modern Family” actress Julie Bowen.
Kelce appears to take on the role of a hotel or country club employee and can be seen wearing a vest and tie as he greets Sandler’s character.
“It’s great to see you again, Mr. Gilmore,” he said.
Bad Bunny also appears in the 34-second clip, playing the role of Gilmore’s caddy on a golf course.

Kelce also served as executive producer for the film ‘My Dead Friend Zoe’
The original film, which grossed $41.2 million at the box office, chronicled the hilarious story of a failed hockey player turned golfer who had anger management issues.
Speaking on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in August, Sandler sounded happy to have Kelce involved in the project.
“We have something nice for Travis,” he began, via the New York Post. ‘He’s coming over. He’s a very nice guy. What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a cutie, and he’s so funny.’
Kelce, who has of course been dating Taylor Swift since last year, has ventured into the entertainment world several times.
He appeared on the show ‘Grotesquerie’ and also presented ‘Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?’ for PrimeVideo.
The 35-year-old also served as executive producer of the film “My Dead Friend Zoe,” a dark comedy that recently screened at the Woodstock Film Festival.
The film won the festival’s Grand Jury Prize for best feature story in October. Term reported.
The film is about a ‘female Afghanistan veteran com'[ing] face to face with her Vietnam vet grandfather, at the family’s ancestral lake house, amid a “mysterious relationship with her late army best friend,” according to IMDb.
Kelce’s Chiefs face the Steelers in an AFC matchup this Christmas.
