Respected TV writer and director Murphy, who has created a number of successful series and also worked with Kim Kardashian on another project, revealed that he wrote the role of Kelce specifically for him.

He also revealed that Kelce had been working with an acting coach for “several months” and that he knew everyone’s lines upon arrival.

Murphy said: ‘We were talking about his future and what he wants to do after the football season, and I actually gave him some fatherly advice.

“I always have a motto in my world and in my work, that a star is a star, is a star. It doesn’t matter what field you’re a star in. If you have that charisma, you’re going to take that with you to everything you do.

‘He was straight out of the book. He knew everybody’s lines. He was so professional. He was so dedicated. He kept saying to me, “I’m really coachable, coach me, coach me.”

“I did, and he turned out to be a delight. I’d love to continue working with him on this and other things.”

“I can’t say enough about him as a leader. He’s just the kindest, sweetest. Everything you think about him is true.”

While his character in the series has yet to be revealed, Kelce provided the intro for the official trailer before appearing twice in the teaser.

In the trailer’s only line, Kelce’s character monotonously says, “There’s no future after this.” He then reappears for a split second near the end of the trailer.

Kelce’s involvement in the series first came to light in May, shortly after he signed a two-year, $35.24 million contract extension with the Chiefs.

Before the premiere, Nash explained why Kelce will continue to have great success in the acting world, now that he has been “pleasantly surprised” by his talent.

“I think he’s going to do very, very well,” the award-winning actress said TMZ Sport about Travis’ future in Hollywood.

“I mean, he’s the type of personality that whatever he decides to do, it’s going to be great.”

Kelce’s TV debut comes amid mounting criticism of his performance for the Chiefs, who again played a peripheral role Sunday night as they extended their perfect start to the season to 3-0 with a 22-17 win over the Falcons.

The 34-year-old, whose girlfriend Taylor Swift missed a game for the first time this season, was captured by TV cameras looking particularly miserable on the sidelines in a clip that went viral.

Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl champion, had just four catches for 30 yards in Atlanta, while his The slow start to the season continued after similar performances against the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals.

NBC lead analyst Cris Collinsworth admitted he was “baffled” by Kelce on Sunday night after watching him struggle so much in Week 1 against the Ravens.

Rodney Harrison, another NBC analyst, blamed Kelce’s recent disappointing performances on his other commitments.
