Travis Kelce could have a big future in Hollywood after making his acting debut in Ryan Murphy’s horror series ‘Grotesquerie,’ according to co-star Niecy Nash.
The Kansas City Chiefs superstar has landed a role in Murphy’s new show alongside Nash, Courtney B. Vance, Lesley Manville and more. The pilot airs next Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
And ahead of next week’s premiere, Nash explained why Kelce has a lot of future success in the acting world, now that he’s “pleasantly surprised” by his talent.
“I think he’s going to do very, very well,” the award-winning actress said TMZ Sport about Travis’ future in Hollywood.
“I mean, he’s the type of personality that whatever he decides to do, it’s going to be great.”

Nash was also asked if she’ll be appearing at a Chiefs game this season with Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift. She laughed before saying, “We’ll see.”
While his character in the series has yet to be revealed, Kelce debuted in the official Grotesquerie trailer earlier this month, before appearing twice in the teaser.
In the trailer’s only line, the NFL tight end character says in a monotone, “There’s no future after this.” He then reappears for a split second near the end of the trailer.
Kelce’s involvement in the series first came to light in May, shortly after he signed a two-year, $35.24 million contract extension with the Chiefs.
During production of the show, Nash announced his acting debut by revealing in an Instagram video that she was on set with him.
“Guys, guess who I’m working with on Grotesquerie?” the 54-year-old said before looking at Kelce and revealing him.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has long expressed interest in working in television and film
“We’re going to enter new territory with Niecy!” he replied.
The three-time Super Bowl winner has long expressed interest in working in the TV and film world once his NFL days are over. With an SNL hosting gig, reality TV appearances, and several commercials under his belt, Kelce is no stranger to the camera.
While his biggest acting gig to date has yet to come, he has already secured another major role after Adam Sandler revealed he will star in the sequel to Happy Gilmore.
Kelce is set to make a cameo appearance in the sequel to the 1996 hit golf film, after previously signing on for a possible role in the film.
