Travis Kelce’s family is reportedly ‘a little concerned’ about Travis Kelce’s safety due to the intensity of Taylor Swift’s fans
A TMZ report says the Kelce family, while happy for Travis, feels overwhelmed by the added fame and publicity since the NFL star started dating Swift.
And the report adds that the deep love some of Swift’s fans have for her has even made them concerned for his safety, leaving them “a little shaken.”
Kelce’s family is one of the most famous in football: his brother Jason plays for the Philadelphia Eagles and his parents, especially mother Donna, often split their duties to cheer on the two brothers. During this year’s Super Bowl, the Chiefs played the Eagles and Donna went viral for wearing a 50-50 jersey from both teams to support her boys.
But their profile has skyrocketed in the past month, with Kelce dating Swift, one of the most famous stars in the world.

The first time Swift saw Kelce play, she was next to his mother Donna at Chiefs Stadium
And since then, she’s been chatting with Travis’ dad Ed during another game
TMZ says the family is happy for Travis, but it will take time for them to adjust to the attention.
Swift met Kelce’s parents — the first time she saw him play in Kansas City, she was in a suite with Donna and has since been pictured with Ed, the father.
So far, it seemed like the Kelce family was trying to take the new-found fame on the chin and not shy away from talking about Swift too much.
Jason said the new-found attention is strange to him, telling NBC Sports last week: “It’s definitely been weird, at the level it is now.
“On the one hand, I’m happy for my brother that he seems to be in a relationship that he’s excited about, that he’s sincere about. But there’s another ending where it says, “Man, this is a lot.”
“So on the one hand, I’m really happy for my brother and where he is in his current situation with Taylor. But on the other hand, I think sometimes there are alarms, because people can be chased too quickly.’
Swift is an occasional topic of conversation on Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, which he co-hosts with brother Jason, and Donna has spoken about her before. Ed doesn’t speak to the media regularly – which was the case before Swift came on the scene.
But the Kelce brothers joked on New Heights that seeing their dad talk to Swift during a recent game made them nervous.
Jason said on the podcast, “If you watched the game, you saw something memorable happen: Taylor Swift talking to Ed Kelce.”
Travis said with a laugh, “This is a scary conversation. I felt terrible for Taylor.”
The brothers joked that their dad has a flamboyant personality and weren’t sure what he would say to Swift, but Travis quickly clarified that he and Jason have “the best dad in the world.”
Fortunately for the Kelces, the hype could be about to cool off somewhat as Swift is not expected to be at a Chiefs game for another month or so.
She skipped Sunday’s match in Denver to focus on her upcoming Eras Brazil tour dates in Argentina, which will have her on the road for most of November.
The next Chiefs game she may be able to attend at Arrowhead Stadium is December 10 against the Buffalo Bills.
