Travis Kelce’s dad launches fresh attack on Kanye West after he rapped about Taylor Swift and his son in a new song: ‘Paranoia and over-inflated sense of self worth’
Travis Kelce’s father, Ed, has launched another attack on Kanye West after the rapper named the Chiefs star and girlfriend Taylor Swift in a new song.
Ed Kelce had said on his Facebook page that West was “displaying his mental illness,” in response to a DailyMail.Com story about West’s new lyrics on August 8.
“I turn my Taylor spliffs tight on the end, like Travis Kelce,” Wayne raps in his verse on the song, which appears on West’s album Vultures 2.
Ed has now addressed the topic again on his Facebook page, saying: ‘I would like to make it clear that my comment about Kanye West was not so much a criticism, but more my opinion on his mental health.
“His behavior and comments outside of Taylor indicate paranoia and an exaggerated sense of self-importance. While it would be easy to attribute his actions to drug use, there has been no shortage of clean and sober people throughout history who exhibit the same traits.

Taylor Swift has a long-standing feud with West, who mentions her in a new song
“This is a talented man and I hope he gets help with these issues.”
It’s been 15 years since West feuded with Swift in 2009, when he jumped onstage at the MTV Video Music Awards and interrupted her acceptance speech for Best Female Video.
He stated at the time that the honor should actually have gone to Beyoncé, marking the beginning of a years-long feud between him and the Love Story singer.
The troubled hip-hop artist later mentioned her name in his 2016 song “Famous,” rapping, “I feel like me and Taylor still having sex / I made that b**tch famous.”
When the Shake It Off singer objected to the crude lyrics, West took it a step further and claimed he had her permission to do so.
His then-wife, Kim Kardashian, weighed in by sharing a video of an alleged phone call between the two, which was later revealed to have been edited to support West’s version of events.
Swift appears to have taken aim at Kardashian in her latest album – Tortured Poets Department – with the song “thanK you aIMee,” in which she capitalizes “KIM.”

Swift wraps up her four-month European Eras Tour dates in London this weekend, while Chiefs star Travis is in Kansas City preparing for the new NFL season.
Kelce could play half of the Chiefs’ warmup game against the Detroit Lions on Saturday. The season opens Sept. 5 against the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs enter the new season with ambitions of becoming the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.
