Travis Kelce was caught smoking in his car on his way to Kansas City Chiefs practice last week, two days before he played against the Minnesota Vikings.
Driving his vintage 1970 Chevelle convertible, Kelce could be seen smoking and checking his phone as he walked into the Chiefs’ practice facility on Friday.
The 34-year-old, who was spotted taking Taylor Swift for a spin in the same car last month, then enjoyed a session with the Super Bowl champions in preparation for their game in Minneapolis on Sunday. It is unclear what drug he was smoking.
After shooting up just a few days prior, Kelce went through the pain barrier to deliver another red-hot performance in a fourth straight victory for Kansas City.
The NFL raised its threshold for a positive marijuana test from 35 nanograms to 150 back in 2021, while also abolishing tests for it in the offseason. Several states across the US have legalized or decriminalized marijuana in recent years.

Kelce has been in the news for the past month amid his budding new relationship with Taylor Swift
Kelce recently estimated that 50-80 percent of active NFL players smoke marijuana, though he acknowledged that most quit the habit more than a month before seasons begin.
“If you just stop in the middle of July, you’re fine,” he said in an interview with Vanity Fair. ‘A lot of guys quit a week before and they still succeed because everyone is training in the heat and sweating their tails off. No one really gets hit for it anymore.’
Swift was not there to see Kelce’s game-winning performance Sunday at US Bank Stadium after she decided not to attend her third straight NFL game to cheer him on.
The pop sensation sparked an ongoing frenzy by stepping up to Arrowhead for the Chiefs’ win against the Chicago Bears last month after it was confirmed that she and Kelce were currently dating.
A week later, she then flocked to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey with celebrity pals including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as Kelce and Kansas City pulled off a hard-fought win over the New York Jets.
Despite TV producers appearing to prepare for her arrival, Swift opted to stay away from Sunday’s game against the Vikings, with speculation rife about whether she will return to Arrowhead for Thursday’s game against the Denver Broncos.
It is nevertheless unclear whether Kelce will be involved in this game, after he missed the Chiefs practice on Monday due to an injury.
During the second quarter of Sunday’s win at Minnesota, Kelce limped out briefly after slipping and twisting his right ankle.

He eventually returned to the field after halftime and went on to score a game-winning touchdown catch as the Chiefs cruised to a 27-20 victory.
Although he struggled through injury on Sunday night, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Kelce missed Chiefs practice on Monday, making him a doubt for Thursday’s game against the Broncos.
Fans are convinced that the injury he sustained during the second quarter was because Swift was not present.
In what is now being dubbed ‘The Curse of Taylor Swift,’ several users on social media are concerned that her absence could negatively affect Travis’ performances going forward as the Kansas City Chiefs chase back-to-back Super Bowls.
