Travis Kelce was listed as questionable for the Chiefs’ game against the Broncos on Thursday night as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.
Kelce briefly limped during Sunday’s win over the Vikings after appearing to slip on the turf and twist his ankle, before returning to the field and scoring a game-winning touchdown.
However, after missing practice with Kansas City on Monday, doubts remain about the tight end’s availability for Thursday’s outing at Arrowhead, where fans are hoping his new flame, Taylor Swift, can be in attendance.
In the latest episode of Kelce’s ‘New heights‘ podcast, he told his brother Jason how the injury happened and what went through his mind at the time.
“I rolled my ankle – it was like in basketball, you come back from a bounce and you just roll your ankle,” Travis explained.

“It was unfortunate if you watch it in slow motion, my ankle slips a little bit for a few inches and then it finally catches on the turf.
“And that’s the problem (on artificial turf), is when you slide, you don’t just slide through the grass, you kind of slide and then it catches…and You’re just not ready for it.”
“I’m just here, being old as fuck and I’m making fun of myself… no one does this to me but me and I just feel like I’m fucking King Jamoke and a grandfather here and to hurt me.” So that’s where the majority of my frustration was.
