Travis Kelce ‘spent every minute he could with Taylor Swift’ before Chiefs training camp as couple struggle to be apart: ‘They’re so in love’

Travis Kelce made the most of his time overseas with Taylor Swift before returning to training camp in Missouri.

Kelce, 34, spent much of the summer working while traveling around Europe following Swift, also 34, on her Eras Tour with family and friends. But before he turned his attention back to soccer, Kelce savored every moment he had with the 14-time Grammy winner.

A source told PEOPLE how difficult it was for Travis to leave Swift behind in Europe while he moved back to the United States.

“Travis’ last few concerts have been double,” an insider says of Kelce’s trip to Germany.

“They knew their time together was almost over and he made sure to spend every minute he could with Taylor,” the insider adds.

Though their busy schedules often force Swift and Kelce to be in different cities, the couple takes every opportunity to be together between concerts and games. As seen during Swift’s globetrotting attempt to make it to the Super Bowl in February, they’re willing to fight for each other across zip codes and time zones.

“It’s definitely hard being apart, but they’re doing everything they can to make it work and stick together,” the source shared. “They’re so in love and very, very happy together. All their friends and family can see it.”

Still, Kelce, who also used his off-season to film Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity and Ryan Murphy’s upcoming series Grotesquerie, is “back in football mode,” according to another insider.

The three-time Super Bowl-winning tight end arrived at training camp on July 21 and showed off the return of his “Killa stache” look. The Chiefs Instagram highlighted Kelce’s mustache look with a post captioned “KILLA STACHE IS BACK.”

On the other hand, Swift will perform in Hamburg and Munich this week before bringing the Eras Tour to Poland. The record-breaking tour returns to the United States in October.
