Travis Kelce continued his Super Bowl victory celebration at a Kansas City restaurant last night as injured fans lay in the hospital and a family mourned the death of one shot during the parade.
The tight end appeared in good spirits as he clutched a beer on his way to the Granfalloon Restaurant and Bar, just hours after being rushed off stage with his teammates when several gunmen opened fire on their horde of fans.
He posed for a smiling selfie with two police officers stationed outside, during an ill-timed outing after his antics on stage, where he appeared too drunk to speak.
The selfies sparked backlash from some fans, with one saying: “It doesn’t look good for him IMO, just hours after one person was killed and others were injured.”
Others defended the Superbowl star, saying he had the right to go out to dinner with his team, hours after he said he was “heartbroken” over the horror shooting.
‘My heart goes out to everyone who came to celebrate with us and who was affected. KC, you mean the world to me,” he said on X.

Kelce enjoyed his night out before Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas provided an update on the investigation and said he is considering blocking any investigations. Superbowl victory parades next year as the Chiefs win again after Wednesday’s horror mass shooting.
The mayor, 39, said three suspects were still being questioned over the tragedy but declined to identify the gunmen who shot 21 people and killed one during Wednesday’s Superbowl parade.
Lucas provided few new details about the tragedy early Thursday morning, apologizing for the “failure to keep everyone safe” during the family event at a news conference at 6 a.m. Thursday.
“I’m sorry this happened yesterday,” he said.
‘We have worked hard to put on an exceptional parade, we have spent millions on it, but we have failed to keep everyone safe and I feel great guilt about that.’
He added in an interview with CBS that a motive for the massacre remains a mystery, and condemned Missouri’s easy access to firearms because “this is not the way I want to live.”

Lucas condemned the easy access the gunmen had to deadly weapons, citing that there were more than 800 officers stationed at the parade who were powerless to prevent a senseless mass shooting.
“It is clear that some in our community have access to firearms issues,” he said.
“There is a person or persons who intentionally or unintentionally shoot into a crowd and hit almost 20 people. Our officers can deal with it in the blink of an eye, but there is still that level of damage.
“We have to do something about the fact that some of these people can get these weapons in the first place.
“I don’t know what we’re ultimately going to do about it, but we have to find national and local solutions to it.”
Lucas said he was in the front row when the “horrific” shooting took place, leaving thousands of fans sprinting for their lives as chaos took over the Superbowl celebration.
He recalled the moment the fun family event descended into chaos seconds after the Kansas City Chiefs players “danced on stage.”
“Then the police rushed onto the stage,” he continued. “There was a commotion and we all sprinted for our lives.”

Up to a million people were expected to gather in Kansas City for the parade, leading to chaotic scenes as huge crowds fled for their lives as shots rang out.

Terrified witnesses said the chaotic scenes separated families as children screamed for help, with the mayor noting he lost his family in the frenzy.
‘Suddenly someone came and took me away. Eventually I was separated from my wife and put in a police vehicle,” he said, adding that his family was “safe but shocked.”
“It was horrible.” he said.
‘I don’t say that to increase my experience. there were many people who had it much worse than me; someone lost his life.’
Last year, Kansas City recorded a record number of homicides: 185, a factor the mayor said frustrated him after the shooting as he tried to crack down on the crime wave.
Lucas mentioned a 30 percent starting pay increase for police officers, in an effort to entice more residents to join the force. He said police needed more officers like those who ran toward danger when the shooting began.
